Worth watching this in full. The statement is more powerful than this quote alone. Here is is from USA Today, with alt text.
Also! Rich Ruohonen is a personal injury lawyer and the oldest athlete to ever represent the United States in a Winter Games at 54 years old.
Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos says nothing as 1/3 of paper's staff is laid off. CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss says nothing after a newly hired contributor appears in over 1,700 documents related to Jeffrey Epstein. Markwayne Mullen sits at a congressional hearing desk
Sen. Markwayne Mullin bought up to $50K each in Raytheon stock (RTX) & Chevron (CVX) just days before the U.S. strike on Venezuelaโ
Mullin sits on the Senate Armed Services Committee โ Iโm sure itโs just a coincidence..
What worries me with ice is that the public has no way of knowing if they are really ice. They have unmarked vehicles, wear masks, show no warrants or legal paperwork, no identification, and appear very unprofessional and violent. Anyone could be impersonating ice to terrorize our communities.
Xโs terms of service are extremely restrictive and allow them to sue users for practically any reason
And they mandate that any case go through the East Texas court which Musk essentially owns
Itโs now LEGALLY RISKY to be posting on X because they can sue you and have an almost guaranteed win

Itโs hard to know if people outside MN understand how much of life is grinding to a halt here because of Trumpโs occupation. Schools have shut down, businesses are scaling back hours or closing because their employees arenโt safe. The whole city is weighted down.

Bernie Sanders: "We need to be thinking seriously about a moratorium on data centers. You gotta slow this process down. It's not good enough for the oligarchs to tell us 'you adapt.' Are they gonna guarantee healthcare to all people? What are they gonna do when there are no jobs? Make housing free?"
I like those picks! I would add a couple:
- Idoru (Gibson, 1996)
- Blindsight (Watts, 2006)
- Perdido Street Station (Miรฉville, 2000)
- The Sparrow (Russell, 1996)
- A Canticle for Leibowitz (Miller, 1959)

Pretty sure that moment hits Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Horror all at once.
This oneโs not too shabby either
Honestly not my first choice โ but @angryrobotbooks.bsky.social *started the thread* with that so seems a little unfair. Anyway: too many favorite moments to choose from. ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ
