Oh niet, brainrot
I don't do these anymore.

i'm introducing a tool that lets you easily archive your Bluesky posts!
mary-ext.github.io/skeetgen/
once generated, you can host it as a standalone website that people can see, or don't! the tool is built with both cases in mind.
I was looking at it in terms of a per-domain basis, and I saw it was just a few cents of difference so it didnโt seem as much. But then of course if you add more domains, those few cents scale up, so it makes a big difference. For an individual, I donโt think it is. It depends on the use case
Ahh I see, my bad. I got confused by the amount of other products they try to upsell when getting domains that I thought having to choose any was mandatory, or thatโs the feeling I got from their intro video ๐คฃ
If we donโt take into account the small discount they offer is Namecheapโs pricings indeed
I already explained that the intent of the post was โmany peers are disliking that they CANNOT READโ our posts. I perfectly know all posts are public and readable, I am not complaining about it at all. Now stop it
What are you talking about? I mentioned that my peers dislike the fact that when I share a direct link to a skeet, they cannot read it without logging in. Using 3rd party apps is not contemplated, the use case I was referring about is opening links to skeets from IM apps
Isn't that just namecheap but without the -cheap?
Any news regarding being able to read posts without logging in? Many peers are disliking that.
Glad to be part of this loss
spook any cryptographer by showing them this function

๐ข Version 1.46 is now rolling out!
โข Links are now shortened to give you more space to write your posts!
โข Lists and feeds can now be reported to moderators
โข Link cards got some visual improvements
โข Adult content labels are no longer suggested on image-less posts

I hate you, but Iโll reskeet that
A meme in the style of the "you wouldn't steal a car" meme, but instead there are four separate sections of text. They read, respectively: You wouldn't enter a hospital. You wouldn't talk to the receptionist. You wouldn't talk to a doctor. You wouldn't comfort your grieving wife.
a triumph of memetic engineering
mfw Bluesky is already becoming way more advanced (technically speaking) than any other competitor platforms, but it lacks the absolute, active userbase to become a relevant alternative to any other text-based social media platform
Weโre one of the first social media networks to make algorithmic choice a reality.
Welcome to a new paradigm in social media where you have more choice and control over one of the most important parts of your social media experience โ your feed.

A post on Bluesky can get complicated quickly with replies, quote posts, mentions, links, images, and more.
We just published a guide to creating more complex posts via the Bluesky API, with Python code snippets:

It's now possible to challenge another user to a Like Battle with Jazbot!
A like battle is a 48 hour fight to the death where each user competes to like more posts than the other.
The winner get Points!!!! and bragging rights.
The loser gets a consolation prize.
Challenge if you dare!

Probably that breaks something somewhere, I am sure.

Now seriously, I am loving what I am seeing on Bsky so far. I have barely configured my profile yet, but I have been reading a lot. And I love the content and how organic it is. I am just hopeful it won't turn into a dumpster fire when sign ups go public w/o invite codes.
