I have considered providing the option to pass a block to the `serializes` call for customizing the lookup. Would that work for your use case?

21.02.2026 20:10 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Ah ok I see! Right now, LiveComponent doesn't handle this in any automated way. You'd have to write a custom deserializer and add the `includes` call there.

I think you only meant it as an example, but I would encourage folks to avoid creating records in components. Use the controller for that.

Hi there πŸ‘‹ Apologies I missed this back in Jan.

Can you expand a bit on what you mean by "required child attributes"? You can customize which attributes are serialized for the model itself, but I haven't done much thinking about associated records. Would love to hear how you'd want that to work 😊

Where's the Shovelware? Why AI Coding Claims Don't Add Up 78% of developers claim AI makes them more productive. 14% say it's a 10x improvement. So where's the flood of new software? Turns out those productivity claims are bullshit.
