Fuck me, NINE MONTHS?! Turns out having a baby really limits game time π
. My wife and I just completed it. Youβre right the final levels got VERY weird, but they were beautifully executed. I absolutely loved the metaphors in play too. Very emotional.

π Lifelong fan here, and have enjoyed practically everything youβve produced. Silly or otherwise. I for one would love to hear more personal music from you.

I put my current book down so I could start this at the beginning of the week. I ended up both reading and listening to it depending on what I as doing. A brilliant book; I was hooked from the start. Excellent use of the unreliable narrator too. Bravo!

By pure coincidence I finished listening to the audiobook version of The Shepherdβs Crown the other day. It was an immense pleasure to absorb that series brought to life by Indira Varma, who very clearly understood the world she was narrating. I was saddened to realise that was the end. GNU Pterry.

Sarahβs rendition of Go with the Flow will always stand out to me. Itβs an absolutely stellar cover. Probably my favourite track on that album, with Blue Monday a close second.

On the subject of AI-read audiobooks. Just no. As an author I want my work to be interpreted by a human performer who can bring an added dimension to it. As a narrator, I *know* my reading adds to the words as written. As a reader/listener...

A screenshot of a news article with the headline "Nigel Farage claims UK is 'massively overdiagnosing' mental illness". The subheading reads "Reform leader claims GPs creating a 'class of victims' in elections speech." We've crossed out 'claims UK' and 'over-diagnosing' and replaced the latter with 'over-stigmatising' so the new headline reads "Nigel Farage is massively over-stigmatising mental illness". Above it is the headline, in Mind font, "Here we go again..."
Letβs be real β the facts are the real victims here. They keep being overlooked in favour of fuelling culture wars. 1/3

I dual host my audiobooks between Plex and Audiobookshelf. The former has good mobile app support (via Prologue on iOS), but the latter has excellent native Audiobook support with full chapter and metadata editing. But I share your frustration!

I suspect you're about to join a long list of people (if you're not already on it!) who are patiently waiting for native Audiobook library support in Plex.

A tricky thing about modern society is that no one has any idea when they donβt die.
Like, the number of lives saved by controlling air pollution in America is probably over 200,000 per year, but the number of people who think their life was saved by controlling air pollution is zero.

If general moisturisers and other creams aren't working, it could be rosacea. I ended up with it in my late 20s and pretty much no off-the-shelf product works. Dermalex helped a tiny bit, to be fair, and that can be bought off the shelf.

I get why techbros and their ilk like gen-AI: artists and writers to them are just an obstacle to be bypassed. But I'll never get an author/artist/musician who uses it. "I want to be a writer." No you don't. You fetishize ideas but hate the work. You don't respect the craft or its practitioners.
