Apparently what happened in telegram is that they are restricting forwarding content from channels labeled as Porn to limit the spread of it around the platform. And certain error messages are just bugs from this new system. While this is annoying, at least my group should be safe from being banned.

No, its not troll reporting. its Telegram doing it.

Telegram has started suspending all Porn channels. Including art ones. My channel is still fine but its a matter of time it will get suspended as well.

If anyone hears about a good alternative or somewhere all furries will eventually move, please tell me.

That said, I don't think its fine to ruin an artist just for using AI as refs. To expose them like a witch to be burnt at the plaza. Artists should stick together.

Instead, they should be educated, suggest better alternatives so they can improve as artists and not waste potential.

The best sources to train, study and copy is real Life, profesional photography, Anatomy/Art books, Art by masters and art from artists you enjoy.

If you want to learn how to draw, I highly suggest the book "Drawn to Life" by Walt Stanchfield.

No need for AI.

If an AI image gives you an idea or inspiration to draw, that is not a bad use as "Ref".

Copying/tracing AI images, on the other hand, will make you sabotage yourself. AI just generates based on patterns. It doesnt know anything about weight, shape, gesture, design or intention.

I am not being elitist or anti-AI, nor claiming human expression is morally superior to AI because I don't think AI is art to begin with. art is a process involving perception, intention, and decision-making. AI doesn't do that. It just generates images.

Devs want to use AI? Fine, go for it. Speed up your work. make games faster than before. Make profit and enjoy making business. But do not claim you are making art or you respect art at all. AI is NOT art and it will never be.

I have said this already. I am not naive. AI is here to stay and studios will use it either we like it or not. AI will clearly speed up their work at the cost of creativity and originality. Because its all about money, not love for art. I just hate when they justify with bullshit

AI doesn't help them at all. For more depth explanation. AI fails at design logic, anatomy, construction. It just generates noise. Yes, a concept artist is able to extract shapes, light and color from it. But they already do that anyway from natural sources. There is just no point.

Larian Studios insist they only use AI as ref for concept art. They clearly do not get It. An AI has no idea how art works. It just generates slop following patterns without any artistic intention. Concept artists rely on real-life references, photos, observation, and study to explore ideas.
