If I owned a camera repair shop, I’d wait until someone who had dropped off their camera came in to pick it up, and I’d say “I don’t know what you’re talking about, I’ve never seen you before in my life” and just stare at them to see how they‘d react before returning their repaired kit back to them.
Fair enough, but I'd like to try it.
I slept more than 6 hours once in 1993. What's your secret? Can I visit your family?
The last time I ate at Chipotle, I vomited 7 times in 5 hours.
We're watching this again today.
I installed Fedora 43 today.
Someday someone will ask you to do [blank]. It's very important that you go

The doors to the church fly open. WB and Netflix, standing at the alter, turn to see just who has rushed in.
It is Paramount, sweaty and disheveled from running across town in the midday heat.
“Don’t marry him” shouts Paramount, “He doesn’t love you like I do!”
The unbridled desperation of the unopened microwave cannot be measured.
Thanks. Either way, it's positioned wrong.
I used to use FreeBSD so much back in the day. I used linux on the desktop but fbsd was on every server I could get it on. And NetBSD when I needed alternative platforms. Lots of little SparcStations that needed "upgrading" to NetBSD (from SunOS 4.1.3).
I am officially Hungarian mustache age.
There is only one ring tone, and it is Little Bird.

I'm not anti-AI, but the impact it's had on how people are writing is not great. Now, real people are copying AI-style writing (e.g. "it's not THIS, it's THAT") and it's terrible.
I run linux on a lot of older machines minis, one of which I use as a primary machine. On that, it's kubuntu (ubuntu + kde) on Wayland. It's the only way to get fractional scaling going on this stupid combo.
Do I know anyone who can help me find a (seemingly) rare children's book from the late 1960s/early 1970s?
I've been using KDE more than Gnome these days. I like Gnome. I like Wayland. But it's a lot of config/tweak time to get it to play the way I want, and I eventually realized that it's actually going against the Gnome flow to do it like that.
The URL, in case you are as curious as I was to read the piece in question.

I kind of have to customize Linux DEs. I learned UNIX on SunOS 4.1.3 back in the day, then moved to FreeBSD and later to Slackware Linux, eventually moving to Ubuntu for servers and desktops. These days I prefer Fedora for desktop, but the stock Gnome needs tweaking for me to be productive.
AI-written prose leans very heavily on contrastive framing, such as “It’s not about winning, it’s about learning,” where the first statement is reframed by immediately correcting or refining it.
This is a dead giveaway that the author was AI. And now real people are copying this style.
Did the dot-release for macOS Tahoe make it any more usable?
Baby steps. How long before all traces of Liquid Glass are removed/replaced? iOS 27 I suppose.
Merlin and I did several episodes of Back to Work about this that you might enjoy.
Hitting Reload every 5 minutes, still.
I haven't been there yet!
Thank you! I'll be sharing more about it. Not sure where to post photos though, what do the kids use now?
Whereabouts in Colorado are you?
I'd like to hear the back story, why you're doing it vs. exercise/diet (and what about your riding?)!
