First experiment with macro + flash + focus stacking with Affinity. While I like the way the flash makes these droplets sparkle, I'm going to need a proper macro diffuser!

Excellent combo
Quite exciting stuff that. I think it might all start getting weirder.
Isnβt the most respected US president in recent history confirming aliens are real A Big Thing?
It didnβt sound like a βin theory do you think aliens exist somewhere in the universeβ question unless it was heavily edited?
In normal times I bet this would be much bigger news.
Needed various bleeps and bloops for a sandbox R&D app I'm making myself.
So.. why not ask Claude Code to make me a parametric audio generator app with a ton of presets?
It took less than 10 mins to make me one. Plus a bit of iteration on top.
Good points! I had CC do days of work in about 20 mins over the weekend. Scary shit. But then I can do more with my time!
Iβve been using ChatGPT since it was first released, and seeing how much AI has changed in so little time is.. well.. Scary.
That said, I *really* do worry about making myself, and my successors, redundant. Work isn't just about getting shit done, it's about achieving something worthwhile, and finding some meaning in one's day to day. And I genuinely worry about AI eating that too. But I'm trying to be open to it.
They havenβt solved that with people yet either
Of course Iβm sure there will be a small niche for hand-crafted code. Like farmers markets - which is better than mass-produced food.
The future feels bleak yet full of opportunity.
Personal π¨ moment. Using Claude Code, Codex, and Antigravity for my personal R&D. Most recent models are alarmingly good.
Feels like in the near future that if you *can* use these tools, then intentionally opting out of using them while competitors choose to use them will guarantee your decline.
Spent some time with Opus 4.6.
First time I felt scared when using AI.
Not _of_ it, but for the future.
Itβs incredibly impressive.
Weβre going to need universal basic income
As usual I found the first few episodes boring but itβs now GREAT tv
Oh wow lol
Any #android devs know how I can sign into Google play on canary emulator? Currently get a black screen, but @developers.google.com show I need to developer.android.com/develop/xr/j... - same on Mac & PC
Any Android XR devs using the emulator on here? π or any community around I can join? I have a few questions..

"Assist" (Home Assistant chat window). - How can I assist? - What is the humidity like in the Living Room - 17.8 degrees - what - 9:21 PM
I avoided Home Assistant for the longest time for being a UI mess and this isn't helping my impression of it
Pastel Worthing sunset
Brighton with a rare dusting of snow this morning βοΈ
No time to head onto the hills, but did manage to get a few minutes to send the drone up for a look.

A couple more shots from yesterday morning at Ditchling Beacon.
In the first one I particularly like how I managed to capture the breaking dawn at just the right point so it illuminates the clump of trees and the tops of the tufts of grass in the field. #photography
Thank you. In fact I remember you were one of the first people to say you liked my photos outside of my family, which I did find quite encouraging.
Haha maybe one day! I feel very much like thereβs an enormous amount to learn before Iβd consider myself good enough.
Sunrise after the super moon. Not so bad down in Brighton, but -10C windchill at Ditchling Beacon.. which I was not prepared for. Took a few snaps then sheltered behind a hedge while wishing I was at home and put the drone up instead.
I need warmer clothes π₯Ά
