Medical Waiver for my eye sight, I don’t remember the exact words but basically unless my eyes were so bad that they normally would not have accept me in the service, but this 1978, they no longer had the draft so it was all volunteer

I have a similar problem with my vision. I’ve been wearing glasses most of my life. Even had to sign a waiver to get into the US Navy.
My lenses actually keep my eyes from crossing and without my glasses on everything as a double blur unless you’re right up against my face almost

Agree but there’s something about intimacy that at least for me is more satisfying than being alone. And it’s not just about sexual intimacy it’s more. But that’s the whole thing about us humans we are all different 🖖👍

Perhaps that’s true, but I feel more comfortable in a relationship. I’ve always been surrounded by people. I’m not trying to rush into a relationship. I’m just looking for one if it happens it happens.

And once they find out how liberal I am, the friendship usually quickly ends. Even my own step Granddaughter and I disagree strongly over politics and I do have hobbies and they do help sometimes especially my heavy metal music and Star Trek.

I’m not disagreeing what you’re saying, I hate being alone when I’m at work surrounded by the people I work with, I’m fine but at home alone it’s just a pain. Plus being a liberal in Ohio is not the best place to meet people as new friends usually politics will come up sooner or later.

I have been trying to get out there, but unfortunately, there’s not a lot of possible partners when you’re 65, plus living in a red state and being a blue dot most of the time you cannot stand other people anyway

My late wife and I met through yahoo personal ad in the early days of Internet. We met moved in and got married all within a week and stayed together for 26 years until cancer took her away ago.
But like I said that was in the early days at the Internet now it seems like everyone wants to scam you

One year ago today I lost my wife of 26 years to cancer. I want to thank all my friends on here for being there for me and especially to @stoya.bsky.social for her kind chat it’s nice having someone who can take a couple of seconds out of their schedule just to check on me

Thanks, but still, it makes me highly disappointed. One of the reasons I went in I believe and still do the rights are not equal until they apply to everyone. I guess I will listen too much to MLK as a kid, but I at least get to say I never voted for the orange turd
