Use

VALIDATE_CONVERSION ( <val> AS <data type>, <format> )

If <val> matches the format for the type it returns 1 else 0

The format mask is optional; if you omit this it uses your session's NLS settings

I will probably check the quizzes, I just don't want to play ranked anymore.

Today I decided to stop playing the quiz on devgym.oracle.com after playing for over 14 years, when it was the PL/SQL Challenge. Not that I don't like it, I just can't set my mind to it. Hope everybody else will keep playing and learning.
