Tartine: it never had a chance. The most artful of open-faced sandwiches, it can’t compete with the modern grab n’ go lifestyle. But the toppings are endless and the opportunity to knife & fork it means less chance of fouling your clothing. Do you like the tartine? Do you have a favorite?
