I'm actually going to cry to be back in my library. My little one has never been there. He wants to get the Hairy McLary books that we don't have. I'm going to put all the books on the floor and make a book angel and then carefully reshelve them, then I'm going to get stuck into the archives

I tell you what, I was floored recently when I got bronchitis and the consulting physician said "you get bronchitis quite a lot, did your parents smoke?" Yes they did. "Well, you've probably got lung damage." I mean you know about secondhand smoke but you don't KNOW about it until you do.

I've been paying a lot of attention to the terrorist's appeal hearing this week because I work near the Court of Appeal, and have been appalled at the security measures necessary to protect the people who need to be in court. I think Ahad Nabi continues to speak for us all

The Court of Appeal had so many police there yesterday to protect families of the mosque attacks. As a politically neutral public servant I've fully considered the remark I'm about to make which is that the terrorist should be ignored forever and live a life of only bad things.
