well i can only speak to my own experience while watching it but i thought it would be bad if aang killed ozai. i suppose if you want to know the audience's reaction you'd have to ask each person individually.
i think the kid's show pretty clearly demonstrates to the audience that aang killing ozai would be bad, cuz he's sad about everyone telling him to and when it looks like he's about to do it he sounds and looks really scary.
