the last time i watched it, i was struck by just how very fast everything is moving -- from the dialogue to the story, the movie is practically sprinting almost the entire time
but it's all just so rich and delicious you don't notice
their struggle to land upon a satisfactory ending is of course part of the legend
but i always get such a kick that even the characters themselves are remarking on it during the movie
