Not many other handbooks urge you to use maximum revs on a regular basis to keep the engine clear 😂 But what a motor when on song. And I forgot about dropping the key too soon, another popular trait.

It used to happen to early cars & still does to our race karts if you're hamfisted, but was even more prevalent on the finnickey rotary RX8. It happens if you floor the throttle before it's running properly and an influx of cold fuel kills the spark. But RX8 is a great car if treated properly!

Mini MA had one for a time. Wonderful and infuriating at once.

If it didn't start first time you had to not try again until the plugs dried off. If that didn't work you had to jack it up, remove the LH front wheel and plugs! Crank it until it was clear then clean plugs. It would drag itself into life one plug at a time. Then replace wheel and go to work.

They're mad. Totally barking. Stark staring bonkers.

And that's the problem.

But there again compared to 225mph on 2 wheels it's pretty safe!

Rat look Morris Minor at Avebury today. We were there with MiniMA and partner walking round the Stones and this seemed rather appropriate for the setting. MinMA was nerdy enough to recognise the RX8 seats! Well he used to have one.
