Somebody started telling me about dinosaurs and the cretaceous vs jurassic periods earlier and it was adorable but I had to leave. ๐ซฃ
I hope they figure out the autism diagnosis. ๐
Nah see it's got via stitching, and built in two sided pcb heating!
Glad you're still alive and kicking. Very much also a huge fan of making death wait longer than originally planned.
And of course you had to curse the rest of us with this knowledge.
Oh hey just saw the other thread with this dude. Guess that answers that question.
A YouTube video posted by "Better Gaming" with the title "Did Someone Just Hack the Switch 2 Chip?" The thumbnail shows the text "NO WAY!!" above a picture of the pinout and traces outlined from David's earlier BlueSky posts". The image was posted 5 hours ago and has 5.3 thousands views at the time of screenshot.
How does it feel knowing every post you make on this topic is going to end up in someone's YouTube video with a dubious title?
That's such a fun bug and I bet very rewarding to have solved.
I haven't done Android or Kotlin dev in a bit, but I did understand the post and absolutely feel you on the issue.
"How long did this take you?"
"MAYBE FOUR OR FIVE HOURS ALL TOLD, OVER TWO DAYS. HYPERFIXATION, YOU KNOW."
"Why are you typing in caps lock?"
"I DON'T USE CAPS LOCK, I DON'T LIKE GIVING UP CONTROL LIKE THAT, THIS IS ALL SHIFT."
What do you connect the ground probe to? Apologies if this is a silly question, I just always thought stepper drivers had to have some inductive load on them or they'd freak out.
What's the circuitry setup you're using to get these waveforms? I've never thought about actually seeing the output of my stepper drivers and now I kinda want to play with that.
If this is from Liz' list, Colorado appears to be missing.
Providing positive reinforcement is an excellent way to build trust with folks you're mentoring; if most of your feedback is negative they're less likely to come to you as often and you may start missing things which could be addressed more easily early.

That's exciting! I'm glad it was a great day for you!
I'm curious how you balance the customers that want to talk to a human because they know their issue isn't solvable by bot vs those who are just like "shut up you stupid machine". I've had tech support give me the solution I didn't want to try (factory reset) that the bot did and I ignored the bot.
Good luck! I hope your offer is the one that's accepted.
The delight in finding a source that answers some of your questions only to be presented with more questions is an adventure I don't think I could easily communicate to anyone who thinks research is just glorified search.
It was great to see you!
Interesting, I tend to just find the part curls on me.
What bed adhesion do you use, good lord ๐คฃ
Cocoa Press 1 is Marlin, Cocoa Press 2 is Klipper/Kalico.
Yep yep! Always beware the "do it the crappy way now, we can fix it later". It'll almost never get fixed. Minor improvements along the way is the way to go!
Amen to that. Pretty much every burnout I've experienced comes from watching as the bus we're all on is headed to a big fireball. Then everyone acts shocked when we do in fact suffer the consequences.
That's a nice looking name tag!
My tendency at this point is to message if there's something to talk about and follow up once, especially with strangers.
I do feel very bad about the number of anxious messages I sent in my early to mid twenties though. ๐ซฃ
Looks like you need a bigger printer ๐
How big is that piece? Are you gonna split it to fit it?
Yeah, that's somewhat more expected during bed mesh calibration, but the nozzle should be moving too which is a bug that we'll need to fix.
The bed mesh calibration does remove the visual of the bed mesh. When you say "all blank", do you mean there was nothing at all on the screen or the visual bed mesh was gone?
I'll look at the nozzle offset with the latest image.
The nozzle offset is what I meant. What do you mean by "go bad". Can you walk me through the steps of what you did and what happened after each step?
