#queerwriters - deep in final decisions for sapphic anthology which is exciting but exhausting, going through wild ideas about new ways to reach sapphic readers that aren’t necessarily two-year book publishing cycles, spiraling over developmental edits for novel and rewrote a chapter. Big week.
Just a reminder that if you are going to pre-order or buy ACOTAR 6 & 7 as many many people will, doing that with your local indie bookstore even if it costs a few extra $$ a release like that can probably pay their rent for a month if enough people do it.

Books in city settings that involve some element of fantasy or magic. Sometimes also called contemporary fantasy or magical realism, but they do need that city element. They can involve romance but are not romance centric (romance centric ones usually fall under the paranormal romance genre)
Potentially. Lots of genres seem to be suffering oversaturation of certain ideas right now.

The number of people who have told me "Oh, stick with it! It gets really great in book 3!"-seriously my TBR pile is too big to give something until book 3 to get good!

Look it might be true that urban fantasy is dead, but it’s a genre I love so I will stick my fingers in my ears and go LA LA LA LA in denial until this madness goes away.
