Q for those of you whoβve read the #Outlander πseries: how much of a commitment is it, as in, is it still a satisfying read if you only read the 1st book (or 1st few)? #booksky #amreading

that is so helpful to know if a manuscript could be a good match! hope this becomes a MSWL trend!
every headline about pedro pascal only makes him hotter and more attractive actually
Yes! It took me a few years to βtrust the processβ if im honest π Fallow times are still scary, but ever since realizing theyβre a pattern, Iβve gotten better at enjoying the benefits and no longer stress as much
Now Iβm embracing them as an opportunity to rest, reset my brain, take in all the amazing feedback I got from #RevPit and my fellow CCs, and begin daydreaming about my next bookβ¦ before heading to the query trenches again π€
#writesky #writingcommunity
Between #amquerying the novel and participating in #RevPit Iβve been in the biggest writing slump ever (500 words written (on a new book project) in a month!)
Such βfallow periodsβ happen to me at the end of every meaningful project. They used to scare tf out of me.
I didnβt win #RevPit, but getting an email from @jenichappelle.bsky.social telling me to expect feedback absolutely made my WEEK. Iβm so glad I participated and got to know such lovely and generous humans (authors and editors alike)!
Congratulations to the winners and runners-up!! Though I didnβt win, I had so much fun participating this year. Huge thanks again to all the #RevPit editors who brought this event to life!
And fellow non-winnersβ¦ keep writing πͺβ₯οΈ
Thank you for doing this!
So many people dream of writing a novel and never do. YOU wrote a whole novel. Drafted, rewrote, edited, revised, and were brave enough to share it with others. No matter what happens tomorrow, you should all be so proud of yourselves! πͺ
All the #RevPit editors are available to hire + for some of us, editing is our day job.
If you enjoyed + got useful info from this event, the best way to help/thank us is to recommend us to authors looking for an editor. Most of my new clients come to me by word-of-mouth, so it really does help! π₯°
Thank you!!
Thanks Allison! Super helpful!
Regardless of #RevPit results, I plan to: get to know some of my fellow authors better / resume querying my novel / start writing my next one / maybe blow off some steam w a little fanfic or two π
Same here π₯

Thanks so much for all your insights!
Are there any tell tale signs in FP / QLs that make you go βthis writer is still inexperiencedβ? I know it when I see it, but itβs hard to pinpoint what could be improved.
I admit, I peek at age and genre first π then go back to try to learn something from every one of the queries and pages haha
I have a nosy question for the #RevPit editors (apologies if itβs been asked before) βοΈ
We got #RevPies of genres, ages, & now Iβm curious about base sizes! On average, how many subs does a RevPit editor get? π

Iβm grateful for the fun & games, the sense of community, the awesome insights, and the editorsβ incredible generosity. Every time I do #RevPit Iβm amazed. Yβall are the best π€©

Thanks again @racquelk.bsky.social for creating it π
Yay! Happy for you π€©
Thanks Jeni!! Your #10queries are amazing. So informative. Feel free to procrastinate w RevPit queries any time!! ππ€©
Same here! Iβm glad Iβm not alone π
Learned a lot and will have another look at my comps for sure! Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us!
I donβt think mine was in there so I wonβt try to guess the authorsβ¦ π canβt wait for next Tuesday!
So helpful! Gonna go look at my query package rn πThank you for this β€οΈ
