An illustrated image of a rocket ship on an alien planetoid with light glowing inside the windscreen and doorway, and a beautiful blue green aurora lighting up the sky. An explorer in a spacesuit is walking away in the right-hand foreground, smiling delightfully, ready for adventure!

Thanks for making a very cool game! π
Haha... It has a bit of a reputation but I'll try to keep an open mind. π
graphic that says no ice in Minnesota itch.io charity bundle
The No ICE in Minnesota charity bundle submission period is now open: itch.io/jam/no-ice-i...
All games, free and paid, TTRPG and browser based-alike are welcome
Submissions are open until January 26 & the charity bundle supporting a Minnesota based Immigrants' rights org will go live in February
Maybe you'll enjoy it more than I did. Seems to be quite a divisive game!
I've been curious about the gameplay, and after MP4, I think I'm in the right frame of mind to overlook the terrible narrative decisions. π
Photo of a hand holding a copy of Metroid: Other M for the Wii.
Should I play it? Is it finally time? I feel like I need to know how it stacks up against the other games in the series, especially Metroid Prime 4.
Announcement: STEAM DEMO OUT NOW!
The early dungeons of Forbidden Solitaire are now open to those bold - or foolish - enough to explore them.
How badly do you wish to live forever? ποΈπ©Έ

It's light on story but there's just enough to add some context to what you're doing and keep things interesting. You mostly learn more about the story and characters through emails and computer terminals. It's weird and cool!
It's an unusual game! It's sort of a first person power-washing game but you're breaking up clusters of alien fungus, and you have some other objective in each mission. I think it's a heavily vibes-based game. Feels a bit like Prey in that you're exploring space stations after something went wrong.
Haha... absolutely. I'm still trying to piece together some parts of the story. I kind of appreciate that they don't wrap everything up with a neat little bow at the end. There's room for interpretation.
β¨ A few awesome indie games I played recently:
1000xResist: Great emotional sci-fi story that will stick with me for a while!
Ambrosia Sky: A very cool mix of relaxing and eerie with fun level design and amazing art!
Sektori: Went from WTF this is impossible to I must get on all the leaderboards!
All too relatable. π
Honestly, yeah, I think we need smaller, more focused markets. Or more curation tools on the existing stores somehow. I really hope we figure out a healthier approach to all this in the future.
Ah yeah... You do still need to do those others things as well, on top of making an actually good game. Haha... It can feel overwhelming.
Trying to look at it more objectively, I do think the market is broken. We shouldn't have to play these games with algorithms... I think we'd all rather just focus on making cool stuff.
Steam is currently by far the biggest market for indie games and success on Steam depends on how much and how high your game is surfaced by their algorithms. It sucks but that's tied directly to wishlist number, and it can make an massive difference... π
I agree it sucks and I've personally avoided posting about wishlist numbers because it feels weird, but unfortunately it seems to be a key factor to success in the current market.
That does depend on how you define success though. I take it to mean breaking even financially.
Woohoo! Congrats on the launch! π₯³
Wow, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for playing! π₯°
Thank you so much, same to you! π
My game is out. Years of pixels and code and toil. Thanks for all the support π
