I fill up about once a month so have been a bit oblivious. I got a lesson today. $3.05 for 91 at Johnsonville, Wellington.
My last visit to ED (if you don’t count working there as a cleaner in my student days) was 1981. I hope I haven’t been too much of a burden, they certainly need and would make good use of more resources.
A recent injury has given me renewed respect for NZ’s frontline health professionals. I spent several late night hours at the Wellington Hospital emergency department. Yes there was lots of waiting and many people there, but they had a clear process, thorough checks and kept all their promises.
Five delicious lunch vegetarian curries with garlic naans for a cost of about $8.40, being portioned for the freezer. Future me will think I’m amazing.
Just an observation, not a judgement. Have you noticed there are many people in Ōtautahi that look like Gimli from LOTR? The ratio of Gimlis in the general population is very high compared with other cities.
I need to do a better job checking houses before I buy one.
Phone ring tone?
Four pineapple lumps stuck together. It would be unhygienic to separate them.
When times get tough, lumps stick together.
Hard to believe we’re the worst. But certainly worse than most of OECD I’d say.
Still concrete slab though eh?

It’s starting to look like AI will be like that beautiful looking supermarket piece of fruit that you get home and discover is rotting from the inside.
Looks well looked after!
Picking blackberries

Ouch, good luck!
You can get good deals on rental car relocations travelling south-north from Queenstown to Christchurch or Auckland. Most travellers drive north-south and fly out leaving their vehicles there.
Real estate agent hoarding: Live local, work local, love local.
Ooooh err. Ngaio!
I’ve found a guy on YouTube called the backyard chef. Many simple, inexpensive but tasty recipes.
What to do when stuck inside with a knee injury? Make a two tin chickpea curry + garlic naan in 20 mins.
What am I doing with the extra hour a day I no longer use by commuting? Making sweet n sour pork with rice. Miss my garden though.
Ohhh, a hot cross bun alternative?
I went for a Prius wagon, waiting for a better, cheaper electric option. Very happy with it. I can get from Wellington to Deep South Canterbury for $60.
I find this Wellington summer to be totally unacceptable. Last week I was living in the South Island and enjoying 27 degree days.
Ha ha
Hamilton has needed a more aspirational but authentic slogan for a long time. How about, “Hamilton - Safe as.”
