One lovely thing. Both wife and daughter were both in the audience to see the band and watch me work! That's probably not going to happen again.

Keep tearing up! Getting sentimental in my old age, don't you know...
I was stunned to find that I was not completely out of my depth. Being retired brings with it a certain feeling of zen. Also, I just had a feeling this was a project with my name on.
What I loved was the band we filmed are so generous with each other. My crew was the same! Amazing experience!
Here are some pictures from last night. You can see what we put in place to film Murray. There were two platforms stuck on the dress circle with camera operators using huge lenses for filming sport.
Murray and the band were absolutely phenomenal! Editing starts next week and ends mid-April.
Two months of prep... yes, I hope so!
Thanks, Kaya! The scary part is that I will be onstage with a camera for much of the show.
This is what I will be filming this evening with 6 cameras!
Excited and a little nervous....
Wide shot of the mythical Olympia Hall in Paris. Looking towards the auditorium.

My project is moving along. We recce'd the Olympia yesterday where we will be covering the Murray Head concert 2 weeks.
We have agreed all five camera positions. It is such a relief to have seen the room and to know the conditions under which we will be working.
I'm very, very excited!
God, I love pylons and telegraph poles!
Thank you, Uli!
Apparently, in the US, cinemas showing Melania are becoming popular places to hook up. The cinemas are empty, no-one will disturb you.
Yes, it is! And for the first time, I'm feeling more excitement than stress. I know it's going to be difficult. The Olympia, where we will be filming the concert, are notorious. I have a super solid crew on my side so we should be OK!
A close up of a Sony A7v camera. It's a recent update to the A7iv, which I also have. It has a partially stacked sensor that means rolling shutter is no longer a problem.
My concert project is moving along. The budget is approved, the crew has been booked and I am going down to Besançon to see rehearsals. I just need a signed contract to make it official.
I traded in my A7Siii for this! I will be using it to film on stage during the concert!
Very excited!
Like!
Thanks, Kaia. It's very exciting and extremely nerve-racking.
As the number of followers increases and engagement with my posts dwindles, I will be taking a break from Bluesky. I have been offered the job of making a film of the concert of a respected musician on his 80th birthday at the Olympia, Paris, this March. I will be focusing my time on that. Have fun!
Two picture frames on a table. One shows the statue of Samuel Johnson on a chair in bronze and the other, a disc insulator from a high-voltage electricity pylon lit by the morning sun.
I love square pictures
These are 33x33 printed on A3+ paper
Dr Johnson who lived in the very same square
The sculptor posed him seated as he was a man of words, not war
A disc insulator from a high voltage electricity pylon in the morning sun
No, my reply is poorly phrased. Leica charge €45 for the quote if you don't do the repair. This is what he waived.
Yes, Leica are expensive but classy. I had several emails and a phone call from the head of repairs at Leica, Paris. He waived the cost of the quote, too!
Yep! I was expecting to pay about half this so that the resale value made sense of the repair.
I got the quote for the repair of my dad's Leica from Leica in Wetzlar, Germany
It will cost €1826... too much for me!
With Daffers jumping on as well?
Santocha Beach, Capbreton
An old print from the end of the 19th century that I took two weeks ago and tricked up with Photoscape X
I had the gnocchi... best I ever tasted!
Always liked The Cure!
Video of her canine ablutions might be nice...
A picture frame lying on a wooden background with a black and white photo of a young woman sitting on a beach in winter
I framed a picture of my daughter
which was taken with my Laowa 12mm
and printed on A3+ glossy paper with a 5cm border
The frame is wood with PVC not glass
The frame cost €18 and the print under €2
I lit this picture with my Godox RS60R
I've not seen Tessa Thompson in anything before. I like Jon Bernthal. He was great in The Wolf of Wall Street, Widows and Fury. It'll be good to see him star, not support.
On the list!
