Always loved the drumming in this song. And the jam sneaks up on you.
One of favorite Dead songs. I even have a Limited Liability Company by that name. Most people don’t even question it, IYKYK.
Supertramp
Bob Seger
The Stray Cats
Willie Nelson
Robert Earle Keene
Couldnt agree with you more. And have to say Bobby gave me a whole new appreciation for the songs. Especially the ending of SOTM.
Buffalo Bills win! Battered and beaten Josh Allen rallies the Bills to a win with a last minute drive highlighted by this off the back foot pass to late season signed Brandon Cooks. Go Bills!

The first time Bob Weir and John Mayer played together for an audience. Legend has it Bob came early for sound check and the two ended up jamming for a couple hours, until the crew made them stop to get ready for the show.

RIP Bob Weir. “Register and vote. Get those assholes out of there.” - Bob Weir
Bob Weir enjoyed playing with the younger generations, sharing the gospel and creating new versions of the Grateful Dead’s songbook. Here he is in 2019 at MSG with Dead&co and Maggie Rogers. And yes, he broke out the kilt!

Bob Weir Englishtown NJ 1977. Between 125,000 and 150,000 people showed up to see the Grateful Dead. At the time the largest crowd to see one band perform. Weir laughingly sis he was scared shitless

In honor of Bob Weir’s life the Empire State Building is lit up in tye dye. What an impact he and the band have and continue to have on our society.

A rough one losing Bobby. A night I’ll always remember, Bobby still pushing himself artistically. Being at our national theatre, how happy and proud we were to be part of a grand experiment.
Bob Weir in 1973 at Watkins Glen NY for the summer jam with Allman bros and The Band. An estimated 600,000 people attended, then the largest ever concert in the United States
Also, when the concert started no one really knew how to behave, this was an orchestra at the kennedy center! Everyone worked it out, sang along, danced in their seats and was respectful of the symphony during quiet portions. The two worlds found a way to happily coexist!
Funny story about the kennedy center shows. The adjoining theatre had a production of Hamilton so there was literally tye dye mixing with black tie, each amused by the other. However only the Hamilton side had security and metal detectors!
Bob Weir in front of the wall of sound, still one of the loudest and clearest sound systems ever created.

Bob Weir at the pyramids in Egypt in 1978. The Grateful Dead were the first rock band to play there as part of a cosmic experiment. Lots of good stories about that trip!

Bob Weir and the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center. Unbelievable the music of a bunch of hippies being composed for and played by our National orchestra. What a life.

While he didn’t write Ripple or sing it for most of his career, Bob Weir arranged a beautiful version I was fortunate to see at Red Rocks youtu.be/cYusCg3KP9U?...

Of all the people in the world that I never met perhaps Bob Weir had the biggest impact on me. From a reform school boy to the Kennedy Center-and everything in between. What a life.
A really fun Wheel from 2018. It goes into Paul Simon’s Diamonds on the soles of my shoes. Amazing how well they we’ve the songs together and how nicely John Mayer sings it.
They couldn’t even indict a ham sandwich
Tom waits is so under appreciated
Drummer Mickey Hart (Grateful Dead, Deadco and others) announces his retirement from drumming. What a career, and the stories he could tell.

Here’s another clip of Todd Snider. Great song about a true story- the day Doc Ellis threw a no hitter on LSD

You may know the NFA->GDTRFB->NFA from skull and roses. Same set of shows, which are awesome, but different night. This is a bit different but just as good. Plus they go into Lovelight afterwards. A great prices in the band’s history
In case you didn’t know, Todd Snider recently passed away. A songwriter’s songwriter and a great story teller. I admit I didn’t listen to him that often but when he would come up on Pandora every song was well written and thoughtful
