oh, greg, don't you know that in 5 years there will be no native code that isn't chromium

nice night for it
a white person wearing a dark blue crop top, doing a βοΈ gesture near their face with their left hand. they have a undercut and are wearing grey-rimmed tinted glasses.
ascolour crop top my beloved
and then compute-wise, getting a couple M1 Mac Minis (ones with the 10GbE NIC) and putting linux on them is probably the best thing in terms of performance per dollar atm?
one of the boards that would be perfect is the SolidRun Honeycomb LX2 (or one of the NXP LX2160 reference design boards) but they're basically unobtainium from what i can tell these days
ideally i'd want to find an mITX aarch64 board with 10Gbit+ networking (ideally 25Gbit), and a PCIe x4 slot for a SAS HBA, to put in a 1U enclosure and hook up to a drive shelf for all my storage needs. currently my storage is handled by a 4U Broadwell-based supermicro with no fan speed control...
euuuugh i need to retire some of the x86 home servers i think... want to move to using aarch64 as much as possible (both bc x86 sucks, and perf/watt is so much better... the x86 machines run so hot) but any ARM stuff that's actually decent perf-wise is so expensive :(
an orange and white cat on top of a dark speckled blanket. the camera focus is way off point, the cat is mildly blurry, and his eyes look like lamps thanks to the camera flash. he is lying on his side with his head perked up facing the camera.
you ever accidentally leave the flash on and end up taking a photo of your cat that has the same aesthetic as a mid-2000s digital camera photo? yeah
auuuuugh the numbers in the bank account are looking Bad this week, and there's still bills to come out...
π
when i saw he was in tauranga this morning i was real tempted to go throw some eggs at him... but i can't afford eggs
well, i'm supposed to be flying home to Tauranga in a few hours... remains to be seen whether that'll actually happen with the weather esp now that a local state of emergency has been declared
PluralKit in the Discord channel user list sidebar, with the status "in 1,001,010 servers"
man.
got that Wheelchair User Privilegeβ’οΈ (the security guards at Bayfair split the crowd in front of EB Games for the closing down sale right down the middle to let me into the store before the stampede)
ye!! though i gotta actually do the crystal tower quests first LOL
now *that's* an outfit
idk i am. frustrated
i even stopped my kiwisaver contributions bc having that extra $75/week in my bank account became far more crucial than saving for a retirement i'll probably never get anyway, the way the world's headed
bay of plenty is now the most expensive place in the country to rent! everything is expensive! wheeeeeee!!
man it'd be nice to have Any Amount Of Savings huh. sudden expenses are horrible when you barely scrape by normally
hahahaha yeahhh
suffering
yeah it's... scary, eh.
then i get 5km further up the road and see how much of it is on fire. :(
Ruapehu Maunga from the side of the Desert Road
sometimes i forget how stunningly beautiful my country is. and then i pull over on the side of the road on my drive home bc i need to pee and i go "oh. yeah."
my adhd meds have well and truly worn off so i am again Incapable Of Sitting Still, if anyone in welly wants to hang out and do things *please* let me know LMAO
it's a shame that i'm sober bc the crop top + cargo pants combo is the perfect "slutty androgynous bitch at a pub" outfit. what's the point of making my tits look good if not to make drunk people confused about their sexuality??
getting to leroy's sounds horrible (can't park anywhere close, and plimmer steps is named as such for a reason) and also hanging around people getting drunk is not a good idea for the whole "maintaining my sobriety" thing so i'm skipping the after party but y'all have fun
and that's a wrap! much love to all the @kawaiicon.bsky.social crΓΌe (& vols!), thank you for putting on such a great con (and for actually putting thought into accessibility!)
