i wish there was a better option here. ktorm seems unmaintained since the last commit was a year ago, but oh well. it works better for now.

in the process of swapping my project from jetbrains exposed to ktorm because exposed has a pretty bad join support when you have to do any more than fetch joined. feeling i may regret it but ktorm has a way nicer dev experience currently but feel exposed might surpass it in the future.
