I had to travel by train for a work gathering today, obviously work are expensing it but it was around £170 for a return, only about 2 hours travel each way. Completely absurd

Two posts from Tumblr user awakefor48hours
"You should create for yourself" and "it's okay to feel discouraged when creating your own original projects if no one interacts with them" are two sentences that should be able to co-exist with each other
On the one hand, you should kill that capitalist in your head that tells you to make art only for the enjoyment of other people. On the other hand, it's totally fine to be disappointed that you spent hours or even days on something that only got 4 notes. You can feel both ways.

The ‘R-Word’ Returns, Dismaying Those Who Fought to Oust It
If I see you use this word, I'll block you. If you use it "satirically" I'll block you. Using it at all today is a really fine test of character.
I've had some of my books edited because I used it twenty years ago and I'm ashamed today of having used it.

Hello, it's me again, the guy who witnessed the Core Element staffer grab and assault my friend and fellow DJ!
l've been hestitant to address this further publically - as I've stated in the past, callouts aren't exactly my style, I try and avoid them.
But this is a safety issue.

Here’s a reupload of the document @coreelement.bsky.social are trying to scrub from the internet (along with me).
Keep yourself safe and avoid this event at all costs, and swerve anything to do with its founders.
Reskeets appreciated before they try the same again

Learning the difference between discomfort and harm is how you can exist in any social space.
If the mere *idea* of something makes you spiral or lash out, you need to take a step back.
This isn't even just "A vs B"; being so unable to sit with your own discomfort causes in-fighting (+)
