"freak" is such a powerful insult, because anyone who's ever dyed their hair with manic panic or owned an account on tumblr dot com is so inoculated from it that it's practically a term of endearment, and yet it seems to earnestly rattle the sorts of people who think war crimes are cool and good

Under Your Spell Revisiting β€œBuffy’s” first lesbian kiss 25 years later.

I'm old enough to have a Buffy-themed tattoo and today's @theflytrapmedia.com reprint of a classic Bitch article is a reminder of exactly how old I am because how has it been 25 years since the iconic Willow/Tara kiss??

I don't watch much TV (I know, hold your applause) and:

heated rivalry has too much sport for me. I don't get why, it's like normal TV show levels of background activity & every scene that's not about relationships I'm like "Ew! No!" so I gave up after one ep

oh I see! I use readwise's (somewhat janky and questionable whether they are updating it ever lol) review system to look at highlights as it's the best I've found for that kind of thing for text. this sounds really cool!

do you bookmark where you got to mid batch or is it a long session thing?

It’s good to hope for something.

Following @olu.online’s example, I wrote down my hopes (for the work context) for the first time in early 2025.

This week, I shared my 26 hopes for 2026 with our design & user research team.

They added plenty of emojis.
