Was certainly cold at the weekend at Southwold Beach Huts. Saw this interesting composition which I'm sure's been done many times before but was lucky to get someone right at the end taking a photo of something else that caught his eye. #perpsective #weather #snow #beachhuts #southwold #uk
Southwold Pier & the Wolf Moon, first supermoon of 2026. Suffolk, UK.
Another of my long exposures from Southwold here in the UK.
This is called the red hat as that is apparently what the tops of these structures sticking out of the water are. These warn people that there is an underwater structure that could be a danger. #Southwold #uk #sea #longexposure

How much longer does the consultation go on?
How will we be consulted? Nothing in my inbox yet???

A week away in the motorhome, mainly for holidays but of course was hoping to get some dedicated photography, which never happened as we were just enjoying being together and our time away. Still managed a few snaps I was happy with though on the Isle of Mull, Scotland.
Fisheye photo looking up from the floor of the woods, the bare trees converging high in the sky
Looking straight up from the centre of an electricity pylon using a fisheye lens, the geometric patterns at odds with the natural sky full of broken clouds.
Today, wellies on and off for a wander with the intention of coming back with a "Patterns" shot with the fisheye lens, tried with the trees, nailed it with the pylon!

thanks, and done! :-)

The tidal bell at Happisburgh, Norfolk, UK.
One of my last Long Exposure practice shots from a week in November.
Taken with my OM1 Mk2, 12-40f2.8pro and a ten stop ND filter. #Happisburgh #LongExposure
Aldeburgh, Suffolk, UK on a December day. I don't think that seagull liked me! #sea #landscape #photography
#aldeburgh #suffolk #martello tower in monochrome under a December afternoon sky. Used the 7.5mm fisheye for this one!
Day 1 of a week off just before Christmas, is also the week when we celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary!
So, we've literally just pulled up at sunset here in Aldeburgh, Suffolk, UK. Tomorrow? Who knows?

A November evening as the sun goes down over Felixstowe Docks, UK. Looking from the shingle opposite the docks and through the ruins of what used to be a jetty, the docks are brilliantly lit up in the distance under a setting sun, the water looks smooth due to the use of a long exposure filter.
Felixstowe Docks, UK on a November evening as the sun sets. Long exposure with a 10 stop ND.

Long exposure photograph of Southwold Pier on the east coast of the UK. Due to the long exposure the water movement has been turned into a smooth milky flow onto the sands. The clouds have also been turned into a vibrant streak across the sky.
Last week I had a wander in the motorhome round the east coast of the UK, basically from Felixstowe to Thornham, all in a bid to get some photography mojo back and experiment with some long exposure shots. Here's 2 from Southwold as the sun was going down #Longexposure #UK #photography
