The workshop is incredibly fun! So far, we explored general motivations for values in science research in economics, the relevance of of epistemic and non-epistemic values distinction in econ, the link between certain epistemic values and systematic biases, ways to categorize values and more.

Our team member, PhD candidate Murat Bakeev, spoke today at an online session of the Phil-Econ-Model-Lab (PEM-L). This workshop, funded by INEM, aims to promote collaboration among early-career scholars, with a particular focus on analyzing the role of value judgments in economic modeling.

The archive preserves the full documentary record of the project: correspondence between the editors, the publisher, and contributors; successive versions of the headword lists; and the internal editorial notes and comments exchanged among the three editors as the draft essays evolved.

Alberto Bartoccini, our visiting PhD student from the University of Siena, spent a week at the Macmillan Archive in Basingstoke as part of his ongoing research on The New Palgrave Dictionary of Economics, examining the editorial correspondence of the 1987 edition!
