I think there's an extension that lets you add custom ones. A steamer I follow has :3 become a cat face on the on-stream chat so I know somehow it's possible.

This is probably my favorite avatar I've made so far! This design was a blast to work with! Thank you Kippu for this commission I had so much fun! :D
