Me teaching Messer and knowing that near 50% of techniques for it are throws, grapples, disarms, + having Thibault in my queue: huh I have a Type, don't I.
the best part of this joke really is that the mayor in the JAWS *novel* is a thinly, barely-veiled stand in for Donald Trump. there's an entire mafia-backed real estate development scam he's in the center of!
If you find yourself following someone who is called woke ginger or pissed off nurse or whatever, they’re not your ally. Your ally is someone with an obscure Pokémon avatar called like ant piss aficionado
Will you push to prosecute the criminals who launched this illegal war? Will you demand justice from our government and punish the villains responsible? It's what will be needed from our next government.
The Library of Congress has the largest flute collection on earth.
Dayton C. Miller, born #OTD 160 years ago, is the person to thank for that. Miller amassed nearly 1,700 wind instruments during his lifetime, donating them to the Library of Congress in the 1940s. ⬇️

As long as there's a bass clarinet soundtrack that whips ass and we have to sleep outside.

“Super Mario was based on an Italian man I saw die in an accident on a construction site. I thought to myself, ‘What if that man had been killed by a gorilla, rather than negligence?’ - Shigeru Miyamoto
Happy Mario day!
"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed."
- President Dwight D. Eisenhower
When I joined as the head engineer of the Torment Nexus project, it was to work on fascinating technical problems and make the world a better place along the way. I am appalled to discover that the Torment Nexus would be used this way and, now that my options have vested, will be leaving the project

There can only be one grand old boar, whom an old boar must duel to the death to finish leveling up
Oh well it helps to learn German fencing because a tempo is how many times you can do something *indes.*
I’m sorry, doing this in a baseball cap sold by your campaign store is deliberately disrespecting the dead.
*young me, developing a strong sense of justice*
This is gonna be great, what an asset, this will never drive me insane
I mean I guess worth noting that despite unlimited military budget we haven't won a war in 80 years
That's what the fucking diaper kid is always saying so it checks out
A kitchen counter with a cursed square waffle and cursed waffle iron on it with that “optimally packed 17 squares” layout that is deeply unsettling to look at. The outer parts are aligned to a square but there are 7 squares in the middle at various angles and it looks like complete nonsense but it is in fact the most compact way to store 17 squares in a larger square. I have no idea where this came from and whoever made it should go to jail.
You may not like it, but this is the optimal way to construct a waffle with exactly 17 squares.
An intricate octopus cut from a single piece of paper
Japanese artist Masayo Fukuda hand-cut this life-sized octopus from one sheet of paper. Known as Kirie in Japanese (translated as “cut picture”), the art form involves cutting intricate forms from a single sheet of white paper and then contrasting it against a black background to reveal the design.
"OH DON'T YOU JUST LOVE THAT MAZE MASTER HANK BOOK?! I BET YOU DO!"
Okay, Bazinga-Brain, listen:
I am not your coworker.
I wish I was, but I was burdened with a deep love and care for the fantasy genre, with very nuanced and nigh infallible, well reasoned opinions.
It is my gift, my curse.
Mamepato has been stuck in my head for 15 years for no reason except that I heard that first and was more fun to say. Pidove is barely worth remembering but Mamepato? Iconic
Sorry I'm not more open-minded about LLMs, it's just some fucking maniacs shoveled out a bunch of useless bloatware featuring that technology, did not give me any chance to opt out, reorganized the entire economy around it, zeroed out gains made by green energy, and made it impossible to buy RAM
Big recommend. It's my favorite weapon by a margin, one-handed opens you up to a lot of cool stuff but it still wants to fight close and with intensity. I think it's the most suited to stealing from every other weapon and whatever your weapon likes to do, it likely has a place with Messer.
First Messer class down and boy howdy using the Augsburg Group sources to let folks get a feel for the weapon sure seems like the play. No big vocab lesson from Leckuechner, just basic positions and focus on fundies. Focused on the Direct Displacement and decision making to start. Felt Great. #HEMA
