A few weeks ago I prepaid for the gas on a rental car for this weekend.

At the time it felt like a questionable financial decision.

Now it feels like I accidentally hedged oil futures.

Whiskey and making an ice pack are the first things that pops into my mind. But really anything where you need the ice to hang around for a while. The pellet ice melts much more quickly

We do have a separate ice machine, but it makes the pellet ice -- great for some things, awful for others. Le sigh

We've had someone out at least twice to fix our ice maker. Last guy said I was wasting my money, it was going to keep happening. Main thing driving this, actually

I think I'm going to get a new fridge. It will not be a Samsung. What brands are people having success with these days? A functioning ice maker and water dispenser are critical.

Mine's not that old, probably only 20 years or so, but it's my favorite thing to cook with.
