Exciting to see lake tsunami research in the spotlight! I joined CBC to talk about our work at Chehalis Lake and how we can go about better understanding lake tsunami hazard here in BC. #Geohazards #LakeTsunami #ScienceCommunication

A successful summer of fieldwork for my postdoc at UVic.
Here are some photos from our field campaigns at Chehalis Lake, where I’m investigating the offshore evidence of the 2007 landslide-generated tsunami.
I am thrilled to announce that I have successfully defended my PhD!
A huge thank you to my amazing supervisors (Jamie Howarth & Sean Fitzsimons) and everyone who helped along the way at @vicuniwgtn.bsky.social , @universityofotago.bsky.social and GNS.
Presented my PhD research #EGU25 a few weeks ago — an incredible experience sharing my research and connecting with a global community of scientists.

Today we collected data from the lakebed of kootenay lake yeehaw! 🧪⚒️
Absolute glassy day out multibeaming on Kootenay Lake today with @jedokaplan.bsky.social and @katieehughes.bsky.social 🧪⚒️
Great #nzherald article highlighting the findings from our new research.

Excited to have the first paper of my PhD out in Geomorphology this week, using multibeam bathymetry to explore the sources lake tsunami in active tectonic settings.

Excited to share my fieldwork experience in Lituya Bay! Conducted a fascinating multibeam survey and witnessed the aftermath of the 1958 landslide-generated tsunami. The trimline from the 524 m high wave is still very evident!
