I have a sore throat but that's how I often feel anyway, so not sure if it's the same sore throat. (Hope you feel better soon!)

β€œWe know changes like this can raise questions, and we want to be clear about what this means for customers.”

But not actually answer any of the questions most likely to be raised?

I always liked the Simon Munnery line:

β€œMany are willing to suffer for their art. Few are willing to learn to draw.”

Now you could replace the last three words with β€œdo anything but instruct an AI”.

No, not as catchy but still.

On the one hand this is a silly Godwin’s Law bit of satire. On the other, I think about the truth of it daily.

I'm definitely not saying self-driving cars are the answer but he's right, that *is* how I feel every day (that I drive)! I'm amazed there aren't cars crashing constantly, speeding past each other, a few feet away, at 60mph each. 😬

Yeah it's strange. I'm usually beguiled by the design which I like. But that doesn't keep me dry.

A summary of Monday's weather showing an 80% chance of rain.

A summary of Monday's weather showing an 80% chance of rain.

A graph of Monday's precipitation, showing only a 40% chance of rain at 1 am. Above it says there's an 80% chance for the whole day. Below it says "The daily chance of precipitation tends to be higher than the chance for each hour."

I like the Apple Weather app but even if its daily summaries of precipitation chance are statistically accurate (although I don't understand how) I'd say they usually give a less-than-useful impression.

Same. Unsubscribe from things! Set up filters! Tidy up! I get twitchy if I have a dozen _read_ emails sitting in my inbox still needing my attention at some point.

And, I think, managing to use "blogs” to mean both "blogs” and "blog posts”, as well as using "blog posts”, so who knows what any of it means. Sterling work.
