Your tax dollars being used to raise your gas prices.
Good to know. I stand with Michigan.
Iโm against this illegal war because Iโm from Michigan and I want my tax dollars spent in MICHIGAN.
Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, a Bernie Sandersโendorsed physician running for the Democratic nomination for Michiganโs U.S. Senate seat in 2026, spoke with Drop Siteโs Julian Andreone on Wednesday about his campaign and the issues driving it. Dear Democrats in Congress,
This war is immoral because it has no clear justification. And itโs illegal because you have not authorized it.
To oppose authorizing it but support funding it is incoherent. And that fecklessness is why Trump keeps rolling us.
Grow a damn spine.
Money doesn't buy votes. People vote.
I see you, Munising!!! ๐ค
No war with Iran.
Trump ran on โAmerica First,โ promising to end regime change wars. Now heโs dragging us into another oneโwith no justification to the American people or Congress. While working people struggle at home, he escalates abroad. This war must end. This aggression must stop.
โNone of us pay our taxes to fund the killing of children anywhere,โ El-Sayed tells Detroit Metro Times. โBut thatโs what our tax dollars were used for in Gaza.โ
Packed crowd in Ann Arbor to hear from @crheinga.bsky.social and me on how we guarantee healthcare in this country. Medicare for All and MiCare would finally rid us of the need for private healthcareโand offer the security we all deserve. We have a historic opportunity to get this done.
Letโs keep going, Michiganders!
๐ซ๐ง
The City of Romulus just passed a resolution against ICEโs new detention facility. Huge win for Michiganders. This is what it looks like when the People stand up. And we wonโt stop pushing until ICE is abolished.
ICE just bought this building in Romulus to turn it into a detention center. In a matter of months, this could turn into a place that ruins lives. All that money should be saving livesโthrough healthcare, housing, or infrastructure.
Why the hell are we spending our tax dollars on this? ABOLISH ICE.
DTE's playbook:
Donate to politicians โก๏ธ Those politicians appoint friendly regulators โก๏ธ Request a rate hike from regulators โก๏ธ Get approved โก๏ธ Profit billions โก๏ธ Repeat.
Definition of corruption. That's why I don't take money from DTE or any corporation.
Rep. Summer Lee of Pennsylvania endorsed Abdul El-Sayed for Michiganโs open U.S. Senate seat, calling him a strong leader for working people. She praised his efforts to provide glasses for kids, cancel medical debt, and stand up to corporations, saying he can deliver real results for Michigan!
@summerlee.bsky.social leads for the people. She is not afraid to take on corporate power at every turn and is a champion for working people everywhere. I look forward to fighting alongside her for a government that delivers healthcare, housing, good jobs, and good schools.
I am the only person running in this race who has never asked for and has never accepted a dime from corporate PACs because the central feature of the corruption in our politics is the role corporations have played to buy and sell politicians.
Thank you, friend. You made my day. Proud to have your support.
I love being a girl dad.
Strengthening manufacturing jobs in Michigan and support for workersโ rights legislation were areas of agreement for Democratic Senate candidates Abdul El-Sayed, U.S. Rep. Haley Stevens and state Sen. Mallory McMorrow at a UAW forum in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday.
From @kdailey.bsky.social
Roxie Richner @roxierichner ICE out and thenโฆfixed โfrom the insideโ?
Mallory McMorrow's struggle to find a middle ground between Hayley Stevens and Abdul El-Sayed now has her saying we need "ICE out" but after it's "out" then it can be reformed from the inside.
Senate Candidate Abdul El-Sayed on Why ICE Must Be Abolished
Democratic candidate for the Senate, Dr. Abdul-El-Sayed, makes the case for why Democratic leaders must embrace "Abolish ICE," taxing billionaires, and Medicare for All.

You heard the man
We haven't had a Democratic doctor in the US Senate since 1969โฆand it shows.
Cozy, snowy, PACKED night last night in Chelsea.
Thank you to all of you who came out to be a part of this movement to get money out of politics, put money in your pocket, and pass Medicare for All.
Always grateful to have my brother Andy Levin on my team.
Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Mallory McMorrowโs claim that her opponent, Abdul El-Sayed, is no longer proposing Medicare for all, and is now supporting her health plan, the public option, is not entirely accurate, according to a health policy expert and an independent Medicare for all advocate.
When my wife, Sarah, faced serious medical complications after giving birth, it was her union that listened, stood up for her, and made sure she got the leave she was entitled to.
This is what unions do: they protect working people when it matters most.
a lifelong public health worker whoโs willing to say โabolish ICEโ is running for senator in michigan, we can have better things
