what you made is commuter rail, specifically european-style commuter rail (although it does also exist on the east coast of the US). commuter rail is meant for longer distances on the order of 100km. commuter rail carries far more people than light rail (and even heavy rail)
A picture of the LA Metro light rail leaving Los Angeles. Note the 3 trains all coupled together

A picture of the LA Metro light rail crossing a street overhead
so good news and bad news.
bad news: that isn't light rail
good news: it's CLOSE to being light rail
light rail is made up of these little 2-unit trains, all chained together. they look like your locomotive in the image, sliced in half. they don't carry other cars, just themselves
Yes.
Who gives a shit about being kind to people who murder folks in the street and support shooting missiles at schools?
Who gives a shit about folks who see "love thy neighbor" as weakness and bullying as strength?
These people need to be SHOWN how dumb they are to their face, loudly and directly
A lot of feeds look at key words in your posts. And that applies to alt-text as well, so good alt-text gets your posts picked up!
For example, my diorama feed listens to a bunch of diorama-related keywords:
bsky.app/profile/did:...
Some feeds rely on hashtags too, but it depends on the feed operator
Bluesky's algorithm doesn't work like that.
1. Each feed has its own algorithm; you can even make your own feeds with your own algorithms for folks to use
2. Most feeds (including Bluesky's Discover feed IIRC) look at individual posts, not your entire account
Is the minigame the casting part, or the battle after you've hooked something?
The other half of the blog post goes into more details:
1. "Immutable code reviews" (likely using blockchain tech or some read-only ledger if I had to guess, probably why crypto is involved)
2. Interoperability (ATproto)
3. European-based AI infra (GitHub Copilot competitor?)
You can read the terms of what they expect on their website, as the blog post mentions:
www.byfounders.vc/insights/ter...
Generally doesn't seem like a bad deal - "we invest in you, but you have to give us 1 seat on the board and track your carbon footprint"
Of course, there are likely other terms
Should be as easy as just a dedicated "share" lexicon, yeah? And then Bluesky, Frontpage.fyi, etc. could listen to it?
I guess the issue is then one of granularity; maybe I want to share to Bluesky and Frontpage but not Semble
It's something like 93% Saudis, 4% Kushner, 3% another PE firm.
They are taking a $20 billion loan from Chase to cover it, with the rest of the $55b coming from Kushner + Saudis
A framed picture of a black and white tuxedo cat. The bottom of the picture says "Kitty of the Week"
The same black and white tuxedo cat is in a little hammock in a cat tree. She is upside down. You just see her white foot sticking up from a puddle of black fur
A black and white kitty is in a hammock. She is on her back. Her foot is up in the air and you can see her black and pink toe beans. She is looking away from the camera.
A black and white tuxedo cat is laying down on top of some foam. She is ek-ek-ek-eking at some crows outside. Her mouth is slightly open, showing her bottom fangs.
The winner of this week's #KittyOfTheWeek is... Togepi!
Togepi rediscovered that she loves being in the hammock. She also ek-ek-ek-eked at some crows outside in a really cute way, she's been extra super snuggly, and she didn't knock everything off my nightstand unlike SOME #CatsOfBluesky
Don't hate the concept and maybe I should be using "show less" to tune down the weight for cat pics but so far my experience has been a more homogenous feed
Anecdotally - I've noticed a LOT more cat pics in my feed. Like far more cat pics than before.
Before I would mix "liking on one feed, liking on another feed, liking on For You" and since it was chronological it "just worked".
But now it can randomly sample JUST cat pics and give them to me, lol
The C++ compiler when I forget to change the .h file

I use a NAS in my office, haha. I run the ghcr.io/bluesky-social/pds container behind lscr.io/linuxserver/swag as a reverse proxy.
I followed therobbiedavis.com/selfhosting-..., using curl instead of Postman as the only change.
My NAS has 8 GB of RAM and I don't come close to maxing out
Lmao, mens and womens, too

The main series games are like the flywheel that gives you the first look/experience with the new region and the new Pokemon.
The anime series (multiple now) explore each of the new Pokemon, giving them life and personality.
And then you have the manga and card game on top of that
Early seasons of the anime were basically retellings of the games; as the years have gone on, it has turned into its own thing with its own plot that is loosely inspired by the games (emphasis on "loosely").
Now there's other stuff, too, like Pokemon slice-of-life shows etc.
There's also the whole "media empire" side of it; I know my fiance gets excited not just because of the games, but because a new Pokemon region with new Pokemon means that new stories will be coming to the anime too.
The anime loves giving Pokemon personalities and making you fall in love with them
* Gen 8 (Sword/Shield, Let's Go Eevee/Pikachu, Legends Arceus) started making the games open-world and less focused on random encounters
* Gen 9 (Scarlet/Violet, Legends Z-A) made the games non-linear (well, less linear) and fully open-world
So yes, it is the same game, but also not?
* Gen 6 (X/Y) brought the franchise to 3D, added Mega Evolution, and had a lot of growing pains
* Gen 7 (Sun/Moon, Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon, Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire) changed the formula for how you beat the game, breaking from the classic Gym-then-Elite Four concept from Gen 1
* Gen 4 (Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, HeartGold/SoulSilver) reworked how Pokemon move damage and stats get calculated, completely changing how Pokemon plays at the battle layer
* Gen 5 (Black/White, B2/W2) focused on a complex story and was a soft reboot of the series
And the mechanics evolve with time, too. There's a lot of stuff in newer games that the older games didn't have.
* Gen 2 (Gold/Silver/Crystal) added the day/night cycle with time-sensitive Pkmn
* Gen 3 (Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, FireRed/LeafGreen) introduced abilities and double battles, a 2v2 format
I mean it's the same mechanics, sure, but there's more to it than that.
There's the strategy layer - new Pokemon means new typings, stats, moves, and abilities.
Aesthetically, it also means new cute/cool designs (and some lame ones too).
There's also a new story, which is usually mid but not always
Yep, this has been my experience as well (using the Copilot version). Much much slower than just doing anything myself.
I do find it useful for looking over code I wrote and doing a code review. It usually gives like 5-10 points to look over; 2-3 are garbage and the rest are potentially valid
Do your part ๐โโ๏ธ
Lots of things the 2 parties are different on, but this one where there is a deep, deep cancer in a good chunk of the party, the side who has no morals and no values and preys on the "vote blue no matter who" crowd to vote them in.
They can shoot someone on 5th Ave and not lose voters
