If it makes you forget about the pedo in charge, he'd say yes.

Ridiculous. Somewhere in there is a dad joke about Barkey, but I'm too lazy and tired to find it.

Vladar's been having issues seeing pucks from far out recently.

Trying to hold on to a tiny bit of positivity for my own sanity, hah.

I don’t love the idea if holding onto Risto just because. He’s injury prone and past his prime. There’s no guarantee he’ll be healthy and/or worth anything by the next deadline.

A nice thing about the trade deadline is that I have more answers when I play the Immaculate Grid game.

Very Last Supper-esque. Let's see if things play out the same way.

Also, this makes sense if they're trading Risto. Jiricek is a big RHT with a hard shot.

I like Brink, but I'm all for bolstering the blue line, especially with young talent. Jiricek has had issues but he's only 22 and it generally takes D a little longer to develop.

Dear coworkers,

I apologize for my dour mood this afternoon. My favorite team didn't uproot the lives of players for the sake of my entertainment.

I will hold this against them until they win a Cup, or I die -- whichever comes first.

Sincerely,
The guy furiously refreshing social media accounts

IMO, the cap didn't create parity. It changed the NHL for the worse. Since there's no way they're going to get rid of the salary cap, they need to fix this loophole to improve the league.

More often than not, the other Cup-winning teams had generational and franchise-altering talent (Crosby, Ovechkin, etc.).

Meanwhile, teams willing to spend money to win have mostly been shut out (Maple Leafs, Rangers, Flyers, Canadiens.

Mini rant: The NHL needs to fix the income tax loophole when the next CBA ends.

The league imposed a salary cap to create parity 20 years ago, but teams in states with no income tax (FL, NV) have won the cup 25% of the time since then.

I like how the Mammoth did that thing where they quickly shoot the puck instead of passing it around the perimeter for two minutes. I think that's called offense?

Let's keep Risto limited to a good 2-3 minutes total tonight, just to be safe.

There were levels of excitement and anticipation that often exceeded expectations. I miss those days. Hextall and Fletcher put us in such a hole that we haven't been able to have homegrown talent like Richards, Carter, Giroux, etc. on top of bringing in players like Briere, Timonen, Pronger, etc.

There have been fun aspects of the season, for sure, but it's not universally fun to watch like it used to be. For me, it's about the shift since Ed Snider became less involved and then passed -- as well as the cap era. He loved this team and wasn't afraid to spend whatever it cost to try and win.

If we're including Brink, Draisaitl better be coming back this way too. Also, Grant Fuhr. I'd still trust him in net over Ersson.

31 NHL Teams: We'll make moves at the trade deadline or offseason to get better.

Flyers: We played three good games. So, we're just going to keep running it back every year.

This game is so bad that ESPN spent 20 seconds looking at the benches.

If ADHD was a hockey player, it'd be Sam Ersson.
