I think we need to prepare for a full-on subversion of the process of evidence-based methods. The current ilk of kleptocratic leaders exploits the process of elections for manipulation and personal enrichment. 1/2
I think too few people realize the close link between the internet's competition for eyeballs/engagement and the logic behind the worldwide rising populism.
Like other "social media", #BlueSky is also set up as a popularity contest in the form of likes/favorites and reposts. The pathway to a "lowest common denominator" position is clear, via oversimplification, intellectual shortcuts, echo chambers and ultimately populism.

The U.S. has benefitted from international doctors making up for the limitations of its own education system. Key factors have been political stability, civil liberties, and a strong institutional support for science. At this point, those with international mobility are better off looking elsewhere

but the type of hyponatremia can well be a confounder. My personal (hospitalist, non-systematic) observation is that some patient's who are primarily hypovolemic correct very rapidly as soon as volume is administered. SIADH and hypervolemic causes of hyponatremia just take longer...
but did they correct in some way for cause of hyponatremia, level of illness, comorbidities (hypokalemia, hyperglycemia), or other factors why the sodium may have been corrected more rapidly or slowly than planned?
I'm just amazed they got IRB approval for this study given the ODS risk that did manifest in several patients.
