I know that doesn't sound like a lot, but every install counts.
Plus there was all sorts of excitement at the event. Wouldn't be surprised if it inspired a bunch of other people to go home and give it a try

2026 is the year of the Linux desktop
At @sgf.dev we just hosted a Linux install event with almost 50 people. Some very experienced and some brand new
I think we had 5ish successful installs with another 4-5 that had some hardware issues but with plans to follow up
When you're out at dinner but your agents are sitting idle
Love the 1Password SSH integration. But it also did just cost me my entire evening and far to many tokens
"That's not X. It's Y" is the new em dash AI detector
Just spent the evening replacing a bad keyboard in a decently newish Thinkpad (Lenovo why do I need to remove the mobo to get to the keyboard ๐ก).

AI is 10xing my bikeshedding
One side benefit of AI is it helps me learn to be better at linux. I confidently tells me to do something that breaks my system and I have to learn why
For anyone dual booting Linux and Windows, I made a utility for syncing bluetooth device keys between the two OSes so that you don't have to repair constantly

How did I just find out about the ProxyJump option in SSH. I've spent way to much time playing around with VPNs to get access to private resources when that was all I actually needed
Back in 2020 I remember saying things like "_ has been around for like 10 years".
Now in 2025 I still say the same thing because I refuse to believe it's been five years since 2020
My strategy for staying focused is to install so many focus/distraction blocking apps that I can't figure out how to untangle and turn them all off
Just finished Astro Bot today. What a great game
Sure do something like
echo "gripe here" >> /dev/null
I've owned the domain gripes.dev for awhile and I finally want to put something there.
Any ideas on what it should? My initial thought was just open forum with basic comments where we can complain about funny dev related stuff
inb4 all the managers show up and ruin the party
I'm tempted to put together a talk called "Toxic Projects Support Group" where the audience and I just grumble about the crappy projects we've been a part of
Man, SSH tunneling is one of the most useful things i know about. So many scenarios what it saves the day
Has there been a better commit message?
Nothing like rocking out to MCR while wearing my MCR hoodie that I got from the MCR concert
