A climate time bomb is ticking in Americaโs retirement accounts. Weโre going to court to stop it.
Most of us work hard, put money aside with each paycheck, and trust it will be there when we retire. But that trust is being betrayed.

Instead of safeguarding its workers' futures, companies across the United States are funneling retirement savings into risky funds packed with underperforming fossil fuel companies or high-risk businesses like real estate, that can be severely damaged by the impacts of climate change-fueled extreme weather. No matter who you are or how you vote, your retirement should be secure, and this new landmark lawsuit is arguing just that. Big Tech Says Generative AI Will Save the Planet. It Doesnโt Offer Much Proof
A new report finds that of 154 specific claims about how AI will benefit the climate, just a quarter cited academic research. A third included no evidence at all.
But here's the thing โ communities are NOT happy about the impact data centers are having on their electric bills and environment.
The solution? Make sure data centers are powered by 24/7, additional renewable energy and built with consent and guidance of the people living nearby.

To claim something you need to be able to prove it.
Unless you're the #BigTech industry.
In that case, you can just tell everyone AI will solve everything and people will just throw money at you. #GreenSky

But our new report takes off the rose-tinted smart glasses and shows a harsher reality: plenty of evidence that power-hungry generative AI is harming our planet, and little solid proof it can fight climate change.
