The genre has been slanting that direction for a while now, so I'm not all together surprised. That's one source ... a big one ... and they're obviously prone to lean closer to fantasy, but yeah ... that tracks.
Sometimes, I am 'Thick as a Brick'. I just realized there was more to the Jethro Tull connection with Opeth than just Ian Anderson narrating and playing flute on Opeth's latest album.
Guess a Jethro Tull deep dive is in my near future.

Listening to Herbie Hancock's Empyrean Isles. Trying to broaden my horizons with jazz, which is fairly easy to do. Find an artist you like, look at who jammed with them, follow the paths. It's like everybody works with everybody at some point in the jazz world.

There are albums that I didn't like when they released that I'm really enjoying now. One is The Downward Spiral (if you knew how many times I heard Closer at the local dance clubs, you'd understand), another is Steely Dan's Aja (too young to appreciate it), and Soundgarden's Superunknown.

I liked Village, as well as Biohazard. Requiem is not for me, but I'm glad to see so many having fun with it. My old hands just can't keep up with the game, which is frustrating because I can handle the controls of Ghost of Yōtei just fine.

It's probably me and my old hands, but after giving Resident Evil: Requiem a go today, I'm out. I even changed the setting to casual and I can't get Leon to melee his way through the infected. I've died more times than I care to admit. Killer graphics and sound. Y'all have fun, it's not for me.

Bowie Deep Dive: I have just two albums I want to give a chance before I finish the 70s and slip into the 80s. It's ALL really great stuff.
For the record, I'm more of a fan of Bowie's later years, so the closer I get to albums that sound like those, the more I'm going to like it.
I got Miles Davis' BIG FUN on vinyl. A compilation album, 4 tracks, totaling 1 hour and 38 minutes of 70s psychedelic jazz.
This is going to produce some wild as hell writing sprints.
