The way I solve this now is by making cheating essentially structurally impossible. You canβt cheat at a βtestβ where the entire point is assessing:
1. Do you have intellectual humility
2. Do you work well with others
3. Do you evaluate info coherently + critically
4. Can you adapt on the fly
Yup. I enjoyed management but the salary, although higher than IC roles, did not match the new responsibilities (specially the psychological burden).
I probably would not take a similar role again if the salary is not 2x.
