I was one of those kids who read dictionaries when they were bored and there wasn't a new book in the house (I'm awkward, old school, and still figuring this out. Couldn't ever stand the Other Place so I'm a complete noob here)

I've had two playlists, that up until now I've kept separate.
One, a list of my anger music which serves as my "protest playlist."
Two, a list of the Vietnam protest music I got introduced to by my dad.
Today they got smashed together. I'll be in this space until further notice.
Once a library kid/always a library kid + no book budget = had to wait to be able to get it on interlibrary loan

My eighth grader is possibly going to need do extra credit for their SS/US history class. I'm strongly suggesting they think about doing a compare and contrast paper on reconstruction v redemption @strictscrutiny.bsky.social can you recommend any layman's language sources? Or send me on to someone?
When you're old enough to predate AO3, still have the first "grownup" email address you claimed and you get a ping from ffn that somebody followed something that hasn't even been looked at in good knows how long

"Fear is a mind killer, a little death that brings obliteration. I have faced my fear; only my dissent remains."
To be serious, certain building materials have a tendance to block signals. I worked for a very old motel, that our lower level was concrete on all outer walls and some internal load bearers. Even with a reflector set up, some of the rooms never had good wifi
I've got the shirt, my car is stickered.... But looking at going back to public facing work and the dress codes... I could use a hat ๐ค

It's lovely when you're just trying to find something to put on for noise while you fall asleep and the channel plays next a made for TV documentary from 2017 about how Hitler used Christianity and it's imaginary to strengthen his position. </S>
Oh god, the echos. I just wanted something benign.
Pining away for a final answer. Totally get it if it can't happen though
My relationship with formalized religion is difficult. Personal faith that I can understand and empathize with. But formal systems of religion; can't really help it they rub me weird.
But for some reason I could never exactly put a finger on Pope Francis struck me as different. I think this is why:
@strictscrutiny.bsky.social is there a way to bulk buy these stickers?
Tried to search for a sticker that said "The Courts won't save us."
The search options were trash. Need stickers.
But maybe a play on "SCOTUS won't save us" would be better anyways? Dunno.
