Completely agree that moral choices are important regardless of context! I also think that it's silly to take issue with the word intifada when, in context, it basically is referring to the entire Palestinian liberation struggle and not any actions in particular.
In the context of Palestinian liberation (which is the specific Intifada referenced), I think I could point to specific actions -- for example, yes, civilian suicide bombings -- as being bad. But I think condemning the overall struggle because of that misses the forest for the trees.
I support Palestinian liberation, so yes. I don't support the use of tactics that harm innocents, of course. But your characterization of the Second Intifada as only being composed of horrific acts and not also comprising peaceful protest and principled resistance is reductive and frankly racist.
