#SOTD Hammersmith Tea & Biscuits. The name is pretty much descriptive. It smells like Earl Grey with steamed milk and sweet baked goods. There is also a strange food note that I suspect must be oat, probably oat cookies. #perfumesky
Went to search what’s snake plant and found out it’s what we call Espada de São Jorge (Saint George’s Sword) in the end of world where I come from. I don’t associate it with any particular smell, just with dangerous calcium oxalate crystals. But it indeed conveys a bitter imagery.

#SOTD Jardins de Misfah Extrait. Herbaceous and sweet davana paired with rose. Chocolate isn’t listed among the notes, but there is definitely an undertone that persists throughout, together with fruity and nutty facets. #perfumesky
A quick online search is telling me of something called almond wood, which is used as firewood, releasing sweet, woody and nutty smells when burned. Maybe that’s the thing I’m smelling instead of cedar. Or maybe almond wood is an impression created by the composition.
Bois d’Amande feels very synthetic (which here is a good thing because it creates something different) and cedar-forward. Cedar is a difficult note that often turns too harsh and dry, but here, supported by almond, lemon and vanillin, it evokes a calm comfort.
#SOTD Bois d’Amande. This baby is a weirdo and I’m intrigued and desperately trying to decipher it. The fragrance opens with an earthy-woody-vanillic scent. Roasted almonds are an undertone and the lemony notes appear later on, becoming more prominent after the first hour. #perfumesky

He’s probably one the best among the 1983-born players, if not the best. I also appreciate his forehand (even though I’m not a forehand girl) and longevity. Verdasco played some bangers late in his career at challenger level and slam qualies (e.g. versus Jerry Shang at the AO).
