Love this!
I've shared this before but…I really like that we have this option!
Feel like it sits btw minimalist thread alternative & Medium post; real quick to make (can draft even w/o logging in!) + easily expands to more complex stuff w/ subpages etc. Fun to see how many uses extend beyond "blog post"!
Gizmos, gadgets, contraptions, thingamajigs, assemblages, doohickeys — so many wonderful words for mechanical / morphological enigmas.
Interesting! Almost all my "most novel" posts are among my shortest…gotta drop more microbangers
Collection + publication is an *excellent* combo!
Oooh yes love that idea! A really cool thing to do in Leaflet (+ collectively, w/ shared standards etc) would be more powerful custom blocks…both "lexicon embeds" (like rich cross-app atproto embeds) but also fully custom, and ways to re-use across your own stuff + share for others
yeah most (all for now I think?) unverified, like bridged RSS feeds basically, they're planning a way for site owners to verify but for now you prob want to just filter em out
This is great & points at the power of publishing in an open social ecosystem
Platforms like @leaflet.pub could eventually support this kind of thing directly…
*but also*
You can get weird & personal w/ publishing *now* e.g. using @standard.site + DIY email flow, w/o sacrificing social context!
This sounds great! Get your @leaflet.pub drafts ready!
> The idea is pretty simple: on April Fools' Day…a participant produces genuine content that's very different from their normal produced content. It could be a different format, a different topic, a different style, anything.
hand holding up a felted ball with multicolor patches felted onto white, approximately tennis ball sized, living room with kids toys and bookshelves in the bg
Trying a new bit — this is today's "ball of the day"!
Please reply and/or quote with your own "ball of the day"!
@are.na invites pitches for its forthcoming annual anthology on the theme of "score" (of course, being sports-indifferent, I think of event scores, experimental composition, @yblent.bsky.social's wonderful project: www.getty.edu/publications... :)
I couldn't make this "Growing the Open Social Web" Fediforum event, but interesting to read these submissions.
Makes sense it's Fediverse-centric but good Atmosphere showing too & expect that to only increase! In any case cool to see a big mix of stuff folks are thinking about & building here.

Woooo hell yeahhh congrats!!
This is great — podcast episode with kind of a whole mini wiki for it, subpages with timestamped conversation guide, links to further readings, episode glossary & more!

March is my birth month so…might f around and attempt to imbue my posts with proper gravitas for its duration.
That means: (default to) sentence case! (at times experimental) punctuation! (mostly) complete thoughts!
If that offends your sensibilities, forgive me / mute me til April.
a book and its shadow; the text of the book itself, and the shoal of wikipedia tabs of proper nouns that follow along from the book like dragging peacock tail train
Nice post on models enabled by more open & intentional social ecosystems, w/ standard.site as example of a shared vocabulary for *portable social objects*
I'm excited to see things like memberships w/ granular roles & capabilities, more direct audience relationships, new types of bundling, etc etc…
Open source: you want it? Just build it. Thanks to @leaflet.pub, @awarm.space and @schlage.town for helping me to contribute
I'm building on atproto bc I wanna get rich af
…but since that might take a while: great community energy & love of the open web
…but deeper answer: spent a long time @hyperlink.academy & making a tool not just good but *meaningfully social* is the hard part! atproto makes it way easier & more fun
Ohhh that sounds really cool!
hell yeah looking forward!
so totally cooooool
…turns out my two year old loves my go-to 92% dark chocolate, lol I'm in trouble

Great post! Love the premise of better ways of "accumulating ideas and context into a durable basis for action"
Lots we could explore w/ @leaflet.pub, weaving longform + shortform + more…
Into ideas like "planting" posts in longform context & subscribing to individual docs as living resources!
Also discovered recently, need to poke around more though! Seems promising :)
Yesss hi Colin very fun to see you go viral with clever linguistic-historical shenanigans!
Love this…court looks like it has great vibes!
