One last picture for the #blueskyartshow of the Netherlands being it's #horizontal self. A view over the old town of Deventer and along the IJssel river (which you're supposed to write with a capital I and J).

Amateur photographer, traveler, wikipedian and grumpy old fart from the Netherlands. All pics by me unless otherwise stated. Some I've posted elsewhere previously (usually on Wikipedia or Flickr). "And yet, we are all very much alive" ~Ignis

Great stuff! Thanks for sharing this.
More of the Netherlands being all #horizontal for the #blueskyartshow. The Waal river as it flows past the village of Haaften (seen in the distance) and the fortress city of Zaltbommel.

The theme of today's #blueskyartshow it #horizontal. Well as it happens, few things are more horizontal than the Netherlands. Here showing a tiny bit near the town of Marssum in the province of Friesland, land of funny talking people.

And beautiful. ^_^
Another episode of Bucky's 90's nostalgia for #CDFriday.
He's about to discover that it's a lot harder than it looks.
The old main town on the island of Terschelling, the Netherlands, is dominated by the massive early 16th century lighthouse. You used to be able to climb it, but this ceased after a radar and sea traffic control center were installed in the late 70's.

Tonight's dinner soundtrack. ^_^ I forgot how beautiful that Iron & Wine album was.

Oh wait... vaMpire!
Sorry, my bad!
*hugs you tightly* Whatever happens, there are plenty of people out there thinking of you.
It was nice to try and draw something again after not having put pencil to paper for over 5 years (save for some little scribbles in a Christmas card), even if it was just a silly little sketch. ^_^
I used to have one of those G1 Jetfire toys when I was a young'un. It was as beautiful and detailed as it was unfit as a toy for a young boy. More and more bits ended up under sofa's and in assorted vacuum cleaner bags.
Surely there is no one who doesn't know the difference between Transformers and Gobots? They're the first and second season of Robotech, that series with the five metal kitties that combine into one giant Gundam from planet Orbot.
That started to happen to me recently as well. I wonder if we get some kind of badge now.
This image always seems to be relevant. βThe Fox Guarding the Hen House,β giclee canvas print, 11β x 9.β We're going to have just a handful of these stretched canvas prints back in stock soon! See website for details:

tonight's after dinner soundtrack is brought to you by moody black and white photography and doctor's handwriting. ^_^
That'll last a while, I fear. It will get better. Eventually. I hope you'll quickly find an answer to the question "And what do I do now?"
Well, to me an album is only dated if I don't like the era it reminds me of. Otherwise it's just characteristic. :-) I'm enjoying what I'm hearing. I'll check out their other stuff later.
Never heard of them before. But the video of Cloud 8 fits nicely in the early 90's trope of singing on an amateur stage and/or an attic filled with props from an amateur stage. Complete with fake angel wings bonus. :-)
Even if she was ...who she was, a constant factor, a constant presence, a familiarity, is suddenly gone now. DonΒ΄t let the silence get to you.

I hear what you mean. This is the holotype of music from 1991. I completely forgot I knew This Is Your Life. Some of the melody lines in there kind of remind me of Everybody's Free by Rozalla.
Six out of twelve mosaics that once decorated an old school in Breda, the Netherlands. After the school was torn down, the mosaics, dating from 1962, were moved and placed on the gables of two apartment blocks elsewhere in the city.

The all suffocating presence of absence. :( *hugs tight*
You sweet courageous bear. No one can prepare for this regardless of whether you know when it will happen or not. Know you will get through this even if you have no idea how right now.
Well that mouse is rather iconic. Very few Germans will have grown up without seeing him on the TV. Or for that matter anyone around Germany who could receive German TV.
KΓ€pt'n BlaubΓ€r! Awesome. :-)
He's responsible for what little grasp of the German language I possess. :D
