Immigration Minister Erica Stanford apologises after inflating overstayer figures The government has been accused of scaremongering after Erica Stanford said there were "tens of thousands more" overstayer.

Introducing legislation which will target our ethnic communities of colour without checking the numbers freely available on the Department of Immigration website is point blank racism against our ethnic communities.

Chris Hipkins with one of the best statements at any time on racism against our ethnic Indian, Chinese and Pasifika communities. They belong, they make a significant contribution to our country and our diversity is one of the things that make us strong.

Winston Peters rails against 'blind ideology' panic amid talk of Air NZ sale The ACT party is questioning whether the government should retain its majority share in the airline, following news of its poor financial performance.

David Seymour's dork like knee jerk reaction to sell off government shares in Air New Zealand shows he is out of his depth.

Immigration officers to get increased powers to ask suspected overstayers for identification Immigration officers will soon have the power to ask suspected overstayers for identification in homes and workplaces, but critics say it's a step towards the ICE raids in America.

Allowing immigration officials to ask for ID from people they suspect are overstaying visas exggaerates the problem & will target communities of colour. We issues 1.7 million visas pa. Approx 0.6 of 1% overstay. 25% are from European countries less likely to be targeted

Ministry defends nearly $1m spend on Te Tiriti course for staff The ministry spent an estimated $987k for staff to take the course between 2022 and 2024.

More than 1,000 staff learning about te Tiriti to become better employees and citizens at a course cost of $470 per person is a wise forwarding looking cost effective investment in the future of Aotearoa.

'Impossible deadline': Union questions shorter consultation period for Māori curriculum But the Ministry of Education says there is enough time for schools and kura to provide feedback.

The reason the Māori curriculum gets half as much time for consultaion is because it is regarded as half as important.

Government defends homeless move on orders as opposition slams them for being 'cruel' The government has confirmed it will give police powers to issue move-on notices. But opposition parties have slammed the proposal, describing it as "cruel" and "despicable."

Orders banning rough sleeping do not solve homelessness they hide the consequences of the coalition government defunding emergency housing.

Kāore he raru māku. I have no problem with this. Its the natural response of Anglophile-monolinguals and their double-breasted suit wearing kupapa allies concerned about tāngatawhenua and tāngata Tiriti using words like kia ora, Toitū, and Aotearoa.

Chris Hipkins accuses Winston Peters of 'pure racism' in Parliament Hipkins has decried an "ugly side to NZ politics", calling out "outright race-baiting" and "direct racism" being expressed in the debating chamber.

This was racism. Teanau Tuiono was born in Henderson Auckland. His mother is Ngāpuhi and Ngāi Takoto. His father was from Atiu in Rarotonga. People from Rarotonga have automatic NZ citizenship and travel on NZ passports which carries the country names NZ & Aotearoa.

Winston Peters sinking to a new low race-baiting Green MP Tuiono Te Anau's right to ask a question in parliament because he was born in Rarotonga. Tuiono's mother was Ngāpuhi - Ngāi Takoto. He is a citizen and unlike Peters is a fluent speaker of te reo Māori.

Incoming law change so MSD can claw back welfare payments off ACC clients The Minister moved a motion of urgency to introduce the bill.

ACC recipients who receive MSD support while sometimes waiting years for ACC assistance will now have to repay MSD because that's double dipping, but it's okay for landlords to double dip on rental money and $3.8 billion from the coalition government. Makes sense?

Once TPM is sorted and they get a clear run in the election, they along with the Greens are the best option for Labour. The alternative, NZFirst, will come with high demands, a honeymoon period where Winston consumes the baubles then a final year where he stabs his partners in the back.
