The beautiful Venetian plant with a secret climate superpower Not far from the crowds of Venice, sea lavender locks away carbon, builds ecosystems, and could help coastal cities weather a warming world.

Did you know the Venetian lagoon is home to a purple powerhouse? Sea lavender, a stunning plant that thrives in salty marshes, is doing more than just looking pretty. Its robust root system helps anchor soil, reduce erosion and create a haven for biodiversity.

After tagging leatherbacks in the Solomon Islands, satellite data revealed where they go next. While most turtles swam to New Zealandโ€™s cold waters, one tagged female swam over 10,000 kilometers to California! This data helps us protect critical habitat. #WorldWildlifeDay https://nature.ly/3OLRxCC

There is No Scientific Justification to Revoke the Endangerment Finding The U.S. EPA's decision to repeal the Endangerment Finding will limit the government's ability to regulate emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases under the Clean Air Act.

As I say here, there is no scientific justification to revoke the engagement finding. In fact, over the last 15+ yrs, the evidence of how climate change affects our health has only grown. Higher risk of allergies, dementia, fertility, heart disease, and death: thatโ€™s whatโ€™s on the line. @nature.org
