I gave a lightning talk about why state machines should be part of your design process
...and gave a demo of an experimental Figma plugin I built that allows you to use state machines to power your designs
Here's the recording:

Yess do it
Yeah, I think a property editor will be so nice to have
I solve that by creating a note per person (tagged with #person). Then I can mention them in notes using [[
Glad you like it! Let me know if you have any feedback π
It doesn't get much better than this π₯
I had a good photographer π
Replaced my old Gatsby site with a single index.html file β¨

The Tags page has new view and sort options.
The command menu now includes contextual note actions if viewing a note page.
If you create a new note while viewing a list filtered by tag, that tag will be prefilled in your new note
π We shipped a few updates last week:
1. The Tags page has new view and sort options.
2. The command menu now includes contextual note actions if viewing a note page.
3. Clicking "New note" while viewing a list filtered by tag will prefill your new note with that tag.
Thanks to Zakher Masri! β€οΈ
@schickling.dev is working on a local-first music app called Overtone that looks promising. Maybe he'll let you off the waitlist by 2026 π

What am I working on? Wrong answers only...
I made an app icon for Word Rumble to try out OpenAI's new image model, and I'm impressed with the results!
I tried the same prompt with DALL-E a couple of months ago, and the results weren't nearly this good
Can confirm that @adrianmato.com is both a good hang and a good photographer β€οΈ

New stickers just arrived π¦
More state machine experiments inside of @figma.com β¨
I drew up how GitHub Copilot works in case you want a quick 'n' cheeky explanation!
Cheatsheet dialog
Cheatsheet link at the bottom of the sidebar
Just added a cheatsheet to Lumen so you can quickly reference keyboard shortcuts and markdown syntax.
Look for it at the bottom of the sidebar π
Special edition Lumen sticker
Lumen's local dev favicon
Just ordered some special edition @uselumen.com stickers that match Lumen's local dev favicon π§
Thinking I'll give them to folks who have contributed to Lumen in some way (e.g., sent feedback, submitted a PR, brainstormed with me, etc.)
Shoutout to @sawyerhood.com and Reid Draper for the ai-plugin-template. Super helpful π

During our @githubnext.com offsite last week, I built a Figma plugin that allows you to create state machines and integrate them directly into your designs.
Coming soon to the Figma Community! (in review now)
