I don’t know how we’ve gotten to the point where men in full balaclavas can abduct daycare teachers while they’re watching children.

But I do know that this isn’t sustainable. Abolish ICE. There is no way to reform this.

It's absolutely horrific and surreal what's happening in Chicago. I attended this rally and found solace in the turnout and the words of elected officials and community members. ICE needs to get the hell out of our communities. I appreciate the coverage from Unraveled Press & other local reporters.

America is beautiful, contradictory, unfinished. I am proud of our country even as we constantly strive to make it better, to protect and deepen our democracy, to fulfill its promise for each and every person who calls it home.

I have a feeling Kat will offer plenty of opportunities for constituents to connect with her. She said it herself that she wants this to be a competitive race so she can prove she's the strongest candidate. It's not like people need to decide today.

Also note many Democratic reps were once Republicans. Elizabeth Warren, for example.

Also I appreciate people who are open to changing their minds from what they thought as teenagers. Kat has stated repeatedly that by the time she could vote she'd changed her views and voted Democrat.

I was a bit turned off by how little I saw about Palestine at the first big protest and in communications from 50501 but am glad to see this video. I'll be there on 4/19 and hope more leftist groups participate.

West Coast numbers are coming in, and estimates have now surpassed 5 million. People are still pouring into the streets—nearly 2% of the American population is rising up. America, we are so proud of you. You did it.

It is EXTREMELY heartening to see so any people out at the Hands Off protests. It's a much higher turnout than I expected and that's a very, very good sign.

BUT.

Let us *please* learn the lessons of the past and remember we have to KEEP ORGANIZING after the marches.
