Oh, and of course:
Big thanks to the Godot Engine for documenting this on their blog! I love reading through their articles and it always makes me excited for the future.

In case you are wondering: yes, thanks to Minecraft 26.1-snapshot-7 further reworking rendering, it is very likely that mod compatibility won't be an issue here at all!
I'd like to thank Mojang for actually putting effort to the point where this became completely viable.
(and yes! zero costs!)

Hi! I made a mod called Longview that implements reverse-Z in Minecraft, and it's as magical as I expected! Check it out and say goodbye to Z-fighting and jaggies from far away!

Sodium's replacement of Minecraft's Video Settings screen, now featuring an Ok Zoomer section, with one single entry named "Zoom". Said entry has an "Open" prompt.
Hm, Sodium got a configuration API? Finally! It's about time!
Introducing the fourth way of accessing Ok Zoomer's settings: Sodium's video settings. Enjoy!

After punching numbers and symbols on Desmos, it turns out smooth transitions defined by an arbitrary factor can be translated to fixed-time ones!
That's right! Coming to Ok Zoomer, you will get to define transitions by a time duration! And also mess with silly stuff :p

Hi! It's been a while, but Ok Zoomer is plowing forwards at the end of this year!
We have been overhauling Wrench Wrapper (an indev config library) as well as cleaning up code, and oh dear, 46% of the mod has been trimmed! Goodbye bloat!
Stay tuned for real and major feature work soon.

A dried ghast nearby a lake in the Minecraft overworld, zoomed in by the zoom feature from Ok Zoomer.
After stepping on too many rakes, Ok Zoomer's alphas for Minecraft 1.21.6 pre-releases are finally usable. The loader will no longer complain about the mod wanting a newer MC version.
I apologize for the inconvenience, I hope you enjoy it.

Modrinth and Curseforge may not approve this project within 3 nanoseconds but jokes on you! You can download it on GitHub now!

..I was supposed to work more on Ok Zoomer's port today, oh well
Minecraft 1.21.6 no longer pauses the music when your game is paused, with no options available.
Pause Music on Pause lets you pause music on pause once more!

In a white background, a shocked face is in the center. Below that face, is the following text: "404. There's nothing here???". A tiling pattern can barely be seen on said background.
Sorry! It turns out I'm still on pseudo-hiatus;
While it's being complicated to make any major progress on my projects right now, rest assured: I am still slowly chipping away at stuff! Like uh, this thing
Ok Zoomer 12.0.0-beta.5 is out!
Enjoy an easier way to configure your zoom as well as zoom scrolling sounds today:

Let me know what you think!

Yes, if this works out, I'm willing to make the settings button into an API that anyone can use and bundle; but first, it needs polishing!
Coming soon to Ok Zoomer:
So, there's this zoom mod, and you want to configure it. How do you do that?
There is Mod Menu as well as the /ok_zoomer command, but neither of those are too straightforward;
What if you could open it through a button in the Key Binds menu?

I do! My plans are:
- A blog so I can do Advanced Yelling at Voidโข
- Portfolios for stuff like mods, dev, and maybe art
- A small About Me hidden somewhere
- Maybe have Portuguese as a second language
I already made some decent progress in the meantime, but it'll take a while until it's ready
Alright! So, @ennuil.bsky.social is no more because I finally have my own domain!
@ennui.langeweile.page is now my Bluesky account's handle; no, there is no website yet, that's going to be my summer break project;
Anyway, back to hibernating!
A plain light blue background, with two white rounded squares with black outlines acting as buttons. One has a hand-drawn GitHub logo, another has a hand-drawn Bluesky logo. Hints of a rounded black border covering the blue background can be seen on the right
Yeah, it's hiatus time for now;
Summer break has arrived (southern hemisphere moment) and I will take maximum advantage of it! I need to!
So yeah, don't expect much activity on my mods (unless it's port time)
I'm still messing around with stuff though, at least when I feel like it; stay tuned..?
One dayโข
(seriously, i do wanna properly announce it one day with a nice bsky post but until then i can't help but keep teasing people with these big invs agulymwaulgmw)
(if you are a random person and is reading this? fineeeeeeee, here is my hidden gem:)

A Minecraft inventory with modifications from the Accessories mod visible. The player can be seen looking at the only additional slot, the Spyglass slot, where a spyglass item can be seen slotted in. The contents of the usual inventory contain retextured diamonds tools, iron tools (including a crook from Crooked Crooks), wood, golden carrots, and a line of rainbow shulker boxes covering ten columns. The inventory is once again suspiciously larger than usual.
Coming Soon (as soon as uni ends):
Ok Zoomer is set to not only support Trinkets, but also Accessories and (TBD) Curios!
The spyglass slot is provided by the "Ok Zoomer Addon: Spyglass Trinkets Slot" mod, which is a pretty neat addon!

A zoomed-in view of Ennui on a snowy Minecraft plains about to be crushed by a bunch of scattered anvils.
Well, it's time to take a break! But before I disappear:
Ok Zoomer on Minecraft 1.20.1 not only got a new update but also is now compatible with Fabric, Quilt, Forge and NeoForge!
yes I have been Forge'd, please send help

Hm, what if Ok Zoomer's zoom had scrolling sounds?
#minecraft #mcdev
Sorry! I was on a bit of a rush; I've addressed that now with what I think is a nice overview image for Modrinth :p
(plus crook recipes, it's always good to be able to see recipes beforehand)
Crooked Crooks has returned for Fabric and NeoForge on Minecraft 1.21.1 and 1.21.4! Enjoy breaking leaves out of your skyblock trees, pulling mobs towards you, as well as herding sheep!

You know that moment when you do an equivalent of "sudo rm -rf" and completely nuke a project you have been working hard on that hasn't been pushed to Git yet? I kinda did that to myself with Git..
Thank god for IntelliJ's local history; I managed to recover almost everything thanks to it
(PS: please don't be inspired by this approach, this system will not scale up well beyond one config option; think about the hard drives!)
(I do hope this config system will cover the purpose of being intuitive while I redesign my config library in the meantime; heck, it even has comments!)
You have a crook that herds sheep, but what if you don't want it to do that? Well, my config infra still needs a major overhaul, so I decided to improvise!
Introducing Satire Config, a silly config system that works! Drag and drop options to the "disabled" folder to disable them!
#minecraft #mcdev
Alright, this crook herds sheep, but can this crook do skyblock? Yes it can! It multiplies drops from leaves! (and grass if you have any)
#minecraft #mcdev
Hm, I'll probably consider an addon mod that adds the old progression (+ modded) crooks later then; I have to admit that I've been waiting for MC to data-drive items before this! But it's clear that it'll take ages 'til then
If I do that though, I'll probably go for more crafting and less smithing
Don't mind me! I'm just herding some sheep with the help of an old friend of mine :p

A wooden board on an grass surface with 6 crooks inside item frames placed on it. They're labelled: "Wooden", "Stone", "Gold" (with it being shifted down compared to the others), "Iron", "Diamond" and "Netherite". A smithing table is barely visible on the corner.
I feel like resurrecting my crook mod, but if I have to do that? I should take the opportunity to change a few things
So! For crooks, do you think that a Wood/Stone/Bone/Iron crafting-based progression would be better than a Wood/Stone/Iron/Diamond/Netherite smithing-based one?

Fun fact: December 8th was the day when Ok Zoomer was first released to the public, introducing smooth transitions to the world of zooming;
That night was when I had a dream that would make me question my gender and ultimately realize I'm a woman;
i can't believe that the zoom mod made me trans
